My anthem used to be the song Zzyzx Rd, it is on the slower side with the best ending imo, the instrumental is a personal favourite. it is from the same album as Through Glass btw. My other faves by them are “Silly World”, “30-30-150” and “Made Of Scars”.

I'll skip around tracks on some of their albums, but I will listen to their double album release (House of Gold and Bones part 1 &2) from front to back. Just like Hybrid Theory and Meteora. FYI..not all of Slipknot's stuff is heavy metal. There's some really deep lyrics and more subtle instrumentation on some of their tracks. The Snuff song everyone is mentioning is one of them.

I think I pretty much had the same exact experience as you when I heard it the first time. Like, first of all, this is the same guy as Slipknot????, He looks like that??? He sings like that??? And then the what the hell does this song mean? My first instinct was also. Is he talking about some-one in prison? And although I came to the same conclusion as you I still held on to my feeling that it was about someone in prison. And I listened to it over and over for 2 years while a friend of mine was doing a bid.
