Kingdom Episode 2 [Part 2]

Bobby didn’t leave iKon they used to have another raper who was their leader and main producer Hanbin aka B.I. He left because he was in a scandal involved with buying and smoking weed which is still illegal and incredibly taboo in Korea. I’m not entirely sure if Bobby is on hiatus though because I know he got married and recently had a kid. Bobby called a guy named Mino who is a member of the K-pop group winner he has a really successful solo career as a rapper and his rapping is really good. Both Bobby and Mino were on Show Me The Money (a competition show that showcases rappers) granted on different seasons. They both originally got a lot of hate as most rappers in the Korean rap scene look down on idol rappers and say they aren’t “real rappers” because they’re idols and they sing and dance rather than just rap. Mino, Bobby, and Jooheon/Joohoney who is a rapper on Monsta X are 3 idol rappers that were on the show that really helped break the stereotype that idol rappers can’t really rap. Plus they’ve had at least 1 of the Judges of almost every season be an idol rapper Zico was part of Block B we also had Jay Park who used to be part of 2PM we had a member of Mad Clown for a while and Mino also was a judge for season 10 he had gotten 2nd place on season 4.

The thing about this show is someone has to get last, but it doesn't mean they are bad performances it just means the others were more. This was the hardest thing to watch seeing some one ranked last. It was a roller coaster ride for sure for all the fans of these amazing groups. ikon has more wins under their belt but they have a lower fan base numbers. Not well known around international. Ateez were known before they debut internationally as K-Q Fellas which they did dance covers. Stray Kids as popular in Korea at the time of this show as they were internationally. This was the first time Kingdom had so many votes was because of stray kids international fan base help raise those numbers for kingdom. Stray kids gods du du du performance remix of black pinks song is still to this day the highest viewed performance for Kingdom.
