BTW not to forget! Jisung lived his childhood in Malaysia so he learned British English in school and that is why his accent sounds british sometimes and other times more American!

The I am fine thank you, and you? thingy is a korean culture joke tbh lol. everyone in korea learns English in school via memorization and not via speaking like us here in europe. so one of the first things Korean students memorize is that one phrase. so when they joke about that it has to do with them saying in like: haha look how bad my english is! And that is why Lee Know said that. But, yeah, obviously now in 2023 everyone in SKZ can speak very good if not fluent English anyways.

While English is a difficult language it’s not as difficult as like Mandarin or Arabic but Korean is up there too. I think part of the reason English may be easier to learn is because it is used in so many countries and that because it’s such a prominent language it’s more easily accessible to learn it. For English speakers however some of the hardest languages to learn are Chinese (no matter what dialect), Russian, Arabic, Korean, and Japanese. And part of the reason Korean is such a hard language for English speakers is not only the alphabet (which is pretty easy to learn) but it’s the fact that their consonants have a mix of two of our letters or have similar sounds to other consonants also paired with the actual formation of sentence structure the need to add on certain syllables to identify stuff like subject, object, location, etc and then you have to conjugate the verbs. And there are so many ways to conjugate the verb based on formality and politeness, whether it’s a statement or you’re asking a question. You can have a statement like I eat bread and you can conjugate it with high formality and high politeness, low formality and high politeness, low formality and low politeness (this is usually used with very close friends), and high formality and low politeness (which is very rarely used). Then you also have honorifics like hyung, oppa, eonni, and noona to name a few. You also have two different counting systems and you have to remember which counting system is used for what. And the way they count is different so to say 1 million you’re actually saying 100 10,000. Then the fact that sometimes the way you say a word changes depending on the sentence like when you have two verbs in one sentence they both need to be conjugated but they can’t be conjugated the same because the sentence always ends in a verb and so when there are two one of them is in the middle and has to be conjugated differently than the ending verb. Plus learning the Korean language especially in English speaking countries is a lot more difficult and the one thing with language is without practicing regularly it can be hard to grasp. I’ve been learning Korean on and off for a few years now and every time I stop it’s because I am having a hard time grasping the language because I don’t have people to practice with and to help correct my grammar.

One of the things I find so funny with Han’s English is the fact that he has 2 Australian English speakers (Chan and Felix) and Seungmin who has an American accent in his group and somehow he ended up with a kind of English British accent and idk where it came from because no one in his group speaks with a British accent. Like where did he get the British accent and how did it stick?

In terms of languages , the most difficult would be Chinese and Arabic in terms of writing at least and then Russian, because it has too much grammar and not easy in pronunciation for foreigners. English is not really difficult to learn, it is for Asian countries though

English is a ridiculous language and I totally get where Hyunjin's coming from. There's that almost like riddle someone wrote about tying a bow to a bow and taking a bow, and once you read something you've read it. So few words, so many meanings!

i consider english as an easy language to learn. chinese (and similar tonal languages) and japanese are harder. This is from someone who has English as their second language.

You should react to the “Your Eyes” MV lmaoo
[https://youtu.be/A8CmtzdnjG8 ] but also Stray Kids reacting to the mv afterwards [https://youtu.be/lURdT5Lan_c ] I don’t think you’ll enjoy the song as much and it might seem cringy but it would be funny to see how you react hehe

I’m going to guess the “I’m fine thank you and you.” is like from a formulaic conversation they all learn in English class. When Chan didn’t respond the way he expected he didn’t know what to say. SM and LK were probably following the same thing. LOL

as an English speaker learning Korean, it is the hardest language I have tried to learn. The structure of their sentences is so different from our structure. I have learned German and Spanish, and Korean is much more difficult, not just because of the english words that have come from Latin/Germanic language, but because of the structure of the sentences.

Your face was priceless when jessie poped up😂, her clip actually went viral in korea it was apart of a competition show and her speech about “we’re not a team this is a competition” went viral and became a meme and all the kpop groups were using the meme and they still do reference it sometimes

You mentioned 3 possible reasons they seem to have a deep knowledge of content and do call backs...it's all three. They do watch their own content, they do edit some of it (when it's self created, especially), and they always know what's happening in Stayville. They definitely have secret accounts on various social media platforms because they will randomly call out things we've said or done online. 😂 one time, Bang Chan asked a fan when he met her at an event for a second time, "you tweeted I didn't get your joke!" Referring to the first time they had met. He saw her tweet and was offended she thought he didn't get the joke. 😂😂 they remember Stays when they meet them again. It's really amazing. I don't know how they do it!

Hi Teddy! I know this recomendation will be very, like VERY, different of what you're used to, but I totally recommend you to listen to "City of Stars" with Felix, Chan and Lia (from Itzy). I know it's a soft ballad, but I think you should give Felix's singing voice an opportunity. It is amazing (and I believe he deserves way more singing lines), the way he armonizes with Chan and Lia's melodic voices is simply beautiful.

Han generally has a more british accent because he studied a while in Malaysia, but we have heard him speak with an American accent before and then he started watching Harry Potter and now he's gone completely 😂 Bless him.
Thanks for the reaction! There are a lot of funny compilations of Stray Kids and it's really worth it to check out the skz roleplay gone wrong on youtube, it's the funniest thing I've seen in a while 😂
Also with the "I'm fine thank you and you?" they weren't taking a piss on anyone. That's the basic phrase you learn as a foreign language learner to the question "how are you?". Eunkwang was confused about Chan saying "I'm good how are you?", because he hasn't heard that before, since it's not the standard response. Many older generation korean idols speak very "broken" english, or very basic english.
I can also guarantee that Hungarian is harder to learn than English 😭😂

Also, if you want to see a more funny video of them speaking English, they did an English debate once. And it got chaotic because one side was full of the English speakers and the other side was full of the non-English speakers, but they could only debate using English. You could also use this one as a “try not to laugh” video.

The “I’m 5” reference is from their skz family skit, where Bang Chan is Han’s 5 year old son. I’ve seen a couple other people do a try not to laugh challenge for this video because it’s honestly incredibly hilarious. You can use it to do a reprise of your first try not to laugh video and, once again, fail in the first 5 seconds.
Here’s the link to an edit of the first one and funniest: https://youtu.be/XEQgxgdQNvU
