The past week I've been intensely working on this Citadel model along with the Project 17 team lead. What you see here is the highpoly version (around 600K triangles) that I'm keeping for my own use and then we are still working on an optimized, game-ready version (no more than 100K) that would be reasonable to use during gameplay.
This has been on my to-do list since before I started working on Patient Zero and only just got around to tackle it. And I'm beyond excited to do something with it now that it's almost done, so next project I might do an EP1 titlescreen or something showing the moment of explosion. Also, I might do this one in blender. I might be way in over my head but the proper path-traced lighting and essentially limitless potential of blender is starting to seduce me to slowly transition over to it.
Those 2 HL1 projects outlined in the previous post are still very much something I want to do, and I might even do those first. For now though I feel like this is what I would like to focus more on.
