While it feels like we’re saying goodbye to the Eyrie in Alayne’s chapter, I’m left with a question: for so much talk about the Eyrie being impregnable, what has that all been for? No-one has ever tried. I wonder if protecting someone (Bran I guess) will be a thing in TWoW or ADoS, and if that person might go back to the Eyrie for that purpose? Getting there would be almost impossible, unless, as we’ve seen at least once before, and in legend, you flew.
