Whilst this is a classic story no doubt it's not above some critique, this middle section does suffer a little from padding, that old classic Who thing of escaping only to end up right back where you started. But as Ian says above its saved by the characters and the performances from becoming dull. But it could probably have lost an episode and been none the worse for it.

2023-04-26 11:58:37 +0000 UTCThere have been several reactors watching GOTD lately; but your reactions kept things fresh, and your observations were entertaining and accurate. Those corridors definitely looked samey! In fact, much of these two episodes seemed to involve characters going from Point A to a very similar looking Point B, getting captured, and escaping back to Point A; only to be captured again. Fortunately, the characters of Davros and Nyder (one of the creepiest, most untrustworthy, people in all of Who,imo) kept things interesting.
