"Quick" Detour - Are We Sure This is a Shortcut?
Added 2021-09-26 11:52:39 +0000 UTCMy last update was about a "quick" detour I was taking, with the intention of expanding the striptease system so I could use it for some new events involving Lily, Jennifer, and a few other character roles. It turns out that was a larger chunk of content than I was planning, and I've been hammering out code, descriptions, and dialogue since that post to try and get everything shaped up. I'm just about finished now, but unfortunately that doesn't leave much time before the release for the Lily and Jennifer content I had wanted to work on. There will be some, and their exiting events will make use of this new system now, but most of it will have to wait until next month.
So why was this new system so much more work than I was expecting? The bottom line is that I wanted it to cover a lot of possibilities so that it can be reused, instead of writing a new strip scene with slightly different strip mechanics for every single event that needs one. That means I needed a lot of code for situations that previously didn't exist (A strip tease put on for fun and not money, for example), and for actions that previously couldn't happen (feeling up a girl, calling her closer, ect).
To put the expansion in perspective, the old strip tease code was 300 lines, which included all of the functional code, dialogue, and narration. The replacement is 1200 lines for the core of the system, and that doesn't include the strip position specific descriptions. Each strip pose adds another 100 lines or so, and I'm planning to expand that to add even more variation. Personality specific dialogue is easy to set up in the future as well, for more character specific responses. It took a lot of work to get everything set up, but I'm confident it will be worth it in the long run.
I need to get some testing set up for all of this, so I'm going to go do that right now!

Club is base game. Current shopping dates happen when you propose them, and you can pick the outfit if they have the obedience for that.

I'd love to have the option of taking a girl on a shopping date (as opposed to the girl setting it up) and picking outfits. I'd also love to take a gal who is slutty enough to the strip club, buy them a dance, or even convince them to go up on stage!

These should be meaningful acts that do some minor things to a woman's libido and attitude towards the MC. Especially those who are not disposed to do it but do it for other reasons.

2021-09-28 14:51:05 +0000 UTCWhile it might mean the Lilly/Jen content doesn't get pushed forward until next month, I can see the knock on improvements this change will have. Obviously the strip club, but in future updates this same system could be deployed to Gabriel's blackmail strip and could show up in crisis events. A solid element like this gives you a way to throw out other improvements with much reduced effort.

To be honest though, if new Lily and Jennifer content is gonna be delayed to the next update, I'd rather you just skip this months update and craxk on with that. I haven't played last two? updates due to the lack of family content on which I haven't seen. Obviously there are other characters to play with, but none such interest me. Good job and cracking on.
