But aside from all that, SEVENTEEN is a great performance group! Even though there are seventy billion of them on stage ๐ญ they perform so well together as a unit and that's really fun to see!

Love this chaos lol ๐ the number of members was a hurdle for me with getting into them too, but a deeper dive really makes it not as intense as it looks from just a few initial reactions. The marketing reason for the name is the 13+3+1 thing, but rumor was that the initial debut plan was to have 17 members (I know, insane!). I also think people have said the name is Seventeen because it is a symbol for youth (18 being the stereotypical age of entering adult hood). Now that they are going into enlistment, the company has stated that one of the reasons they have so many members is that they wonโt have to ever take a full military hiatus like other groups. Itโs also help for shows when they can do unit stages and give other members time to take a breather and keep energy high. I think you all would really enjoy their Lollapalooza Berlin set. They were the headliner and fans were actually able to buy tickets (Glastonbury sells out before they announce the lineup). You get some b-sides, unit songs, and title tracks from them in that set.
