I LOVED this movie. It might be the best movie about lesbians i have seen. For sure is my fave right now.
It was sweet and heartbreaking and intense. Alot happens and stuff will make you mad and others will make you smile. I just loved it and i kinda was a mess reacting to this so please... be aware of the volume... especially when we go back to the scene that we see in the beginning cause i was really loud so if you are watching with headphones, lower the volume when that is about to happen.
I was so surprised by this movie. The ending really surprised me cause i was expecting something different. I cried so much it's not even funny XD. When i was editing this i thought about how it affected me and how my reaction kinda speaks about the usual treatment W|W relationships get in media.
I loved the cinematography. I was curious to see how they shoot this movie cause it had a really different look that really gave you the sense of being in the '50s. Also, both Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara did an incredible job. I've read the first scene they shot together was the scene when they sleep together before Carol goes back home. I cant imagine that being the first scene i work on with someone i've never worked with before XD. Anyways... the chemistry was incredible and they were amazing. And all the close ups and the staring and everything that happens before everything else happens... the director really did a great job to show the extent of their feelings before anything actually happens.
And finally... the music... I think the score did half of the job for me. It was perfect and it affected me almost as much as the images.
Just... BEAUTIFUL
