Today I'm sharing a cover of the rather emotional song "If I Get High" by the amazing Nothing but Thieves. This is the first song I ever heard by the band and it immediately struck a chord with me and has stayed present in my mind ever since. Although I love all aspects of the song's arrangement, I think Conor Mason's vocals strike me the most. He's definitely one of my favorite modern rock vocalists, and I've written a number of recent melodies inspired by his style. If you hadn't heard them until today, I highly encourage checking them out! I hope this cover resonates with you, I know it's been a very cathartic, healing one for me to sing when I get caught up in missing someone I love who's passed away.
