Discord added to Rewards!
Added 2016-10-03 13:55:36 +0000 UTCEDIT: I guess this feature is currently broken at the user side, the Connect to Discord button isn't showing. I alerted Patreon. I'll toss out a post when it's actually working, sorry for the confusion.
A while ago I manually added my Patreons to my discord server. It didn't work out the best. But now Patreon lets you automatically add Patreons to servers! Make sure you've connected Discord to Patreon and claimed a reward (all reward tiers currently have the same role) and it should add you automatically!
To make sure you get connected, here's a post about how to connect Discord to Patreon.
If you have any issues or want the role but don't want to/can't connect Patreon to discord for any reason, just let me know and I'll get you set up manually!
What's Discord?
Discord is a free text/voice chat service for gaming. It's basically Skype + Slack but leaner and very focused on gaming. It has web, desktop and mobile clients so it can be used from anywhere unlike certain chat services I strongly dislike.
I can be find in my discord server most days, and I use it's chat for live streams. I'm planning on having patreon "call in" streams eventually where Patreons can chat with me during a stream on a special stream once in a while as well.
