Chapter 53 - I am Spider Tobey

We ended up spending four years in the time chamber—and thousands of years in the mental landscape.

I taught Natasha everything, from physics to philosophy. Now, just like the girls and me, she is a master of knowledge.

Not only did we learn, but we also had a lot of sex, both mentally and physically. We also played games and had plenty of fun.

Fortunately, due to our enhancements and the bonds, thousands of years felt like nothing more than an afternoon nap. Even though we're leaving now, it won’t feel like we've been gone for long. I think every Rob has such mental qualities—otherwise, infinite years of existence would drive anyone mad with boredom.

For us, even with thousands of years of existence, everything felt new, exciting, and fun. We didn’t feel like old people tired of life but rather like children with infinite curiosity.

We left the room laughing and chatting.

“Well, Nat, our wedding in this universe will be in a year,” I said, giving Natasha a loving smile.

Nat looked confused. “Do we have to get married again here?” she asked. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to—it just surprised her.

“I want you to spend a year getting to know everyone and making new friends. That way, our wedding will be more special—different from our first one, where the only people you cared about were Clint and his family,” I said, taking her arm and pulling her into a hug.

Nat was a bit surprised by the idea but didn’t refuse. She found it interesting to try.

“Come on, there are a lot of people for you to meet. Speaking of which, the Fury I created in this universe wants a vacation. How about becoming the director of S.H.I.E.L.D.?” I asked with a mischievous smile.

Natasha just looked at me in confusion.

…

Back in the MCU, we were at the diner. Less than a day had passed since Nat left—after all, the time chamber ran at ten years per day, and we had only spent four years there.

Nat, who had disappeared, returned to the diner—but this wasn’t the same body of hers that had left; it was her second body.

“Back to the home universe,” she said casually as she looked around for us.

A month had passed since the wedding. Unfortunately, for Nat, me, and the girls, she had to return to work at S.H.I.E.L.D.

The “unfortunately” wasn’t because we wouldn’t see her—after all, she was in our universe, so we saw her every day.

The unfortunate part for Natasha was that she would only have sex with her main body, meaning she would lose half the time we used to spend having sex with the secondary body.

The unfortunate part for the other girls was that they lost an ally in the fight against my infinite libido.

The unfortunate part for me was that I lost a worthy opponent in battling my endless desire.

Anyway, Natasha would work one month on, one month off.

We continued our hero activities while Natasha remained a spy. This ended up making her level increase more slowly than ours—after all, she didn’t fight as frequently as we did on her missions.

Even though she had become powerful in her main body, we limited her secondary body to its previous level.

Another three months passed.

Our stats hadn’t changed much.

It had been five months in total since we became spider-totems.

Now, we’ll need almost a year before leveling up, and even then, it won’t be enough to upgrade the Spider-Totem. To level up at high speed, we need to wait for the events of Avengers 1.

When the girls and I were watching the news, something caught our attention. A green giant was causing chaos in Harlem.

I couldn't help but curse, “Damn it, we’re going to be late again!”

Don’t get us wrong, we’ve only seen the edited events, so we don’t know the exact dates when they happen, only the year.

“Gwen, you need to make surveillance drones soon. Otherwise, we’re going to be late for every event,” Emily complained while rushing to her hero suit.

“I can’t just pull servers and supercomputers capable of processing that much data out of my ass. We need money!” Gwen complained.

“Peter pulled materials out of the trash!” Emily shot back while hopping on one foot as she put the suit on her other leg.

“Pete didn’t limit his intelligence to that of an average person! Having the knowledge of a grandmaster but the brain of a normal person makes it harder to do calculations and find shortcuts. Besides, Peter is a monster, don’t compare me to him… no offense, love.” Gwen defended herself while badmouthing me and apologizing. And hey! I’m already offended.

“I told you we should keep robbing thieves; now we don’t have enough funds to burn money!” Emily complained again.

“Stealing is wrong, even from thieves,” Ursula added her two cents.

“And we already took a lot of money, the problem is laundering it,” MJ said while putting on her mask.

We all finished at the same time and jumped out the window while turning invisible. We were all master Spider-Totems, so we had Miles’ powers.

We swung quickly toward Harlem and arrived just as a helicopter was falling from the sky with two green giants hanging onto it.

“I’ll get the helicopter,” I said and quickly shot a web toward the target.

“I’ll fight Abomination,” Natasha said and jumped in the same direction as me.

“I’m going with Nat,” Emily said and followed.

“I’ll look for the injured and heal them,” Ursula said and left.

“I’ll check under the rubble for victims,” MJ said and ran off.

Gwen didn’t say anything and went to help search for the wounded as well.

…

P.O.V Peter Benjamin Parker, 7 years old

Today had been wonderful. Aunt May received Broadway show tickets from a patient who couldn’t go, so he gave them to her as a thank-you for her kindness.

Aunt May then cleared her schedule and took me to see the show.

And man, I was so excited. The show was about the Spider-Family. I love Iron Man, but for me, he ranks below any member of the Spider-Family.

Especially Spider-Man—he’s my biggest idol.

The show was amazing; Aunt May and I loved it, but that day didn’t end well.

As we left the theater, we heard horrible roars, screams, and explosions. Then, a piece of metal came flying from afar and… hit Aunt May.

“AUNT MAY!!” I screamed in desperation.

I ran to her side and saw her lying on the ground. There was a lot of blood on her abdomen, and her forehead was also bleeding.

I knelt beside her, not knowing what to do. Then I screamed desperately.

“HELP! SOMEONE HELP MY AUNT!!” I shouted with all my might, but instead of hearing people rushing to help, I heard more cries for help coming from different directions.

I hated being smart at that moment because I knew there was no way Aunt May could survive.

“Pete, it’s okay! It’s okay!... I love you so much, and I’m so proud of you…” Aunt May started to say while caressing my face, but I could see her losing strength.

“Please, no, please, no…” That was all I could say as my world began spinning with dizziness.

But all of that vanished when I heard an incredibly kind voice—it was like an angel had arrived to save the situation.

“It’s okay, she’s going to be fine.”

I looked up and saw something I would never forget in my life.

Spider-Angel, wearing a white, gold, and gray suit, was there. From their back grew appendages—not angel wings, but spider legs.

One of the legs quickly pulled out the embedded metal, and then, like a spider weaving its nest, the spider legs moved extremely fast and with precision. They lightly touched Aunt May’s wounds, swiftly removing tiny shards while stitching the wound shut.

I saw that Aunt May had stopped bleeding, and her wounds were sealed. Then, one of the legs moved over the wounds and sprayed some kind of aerosol, probably medicine.

“She’s going to be fine. Someone will be here to help soon,” they said and didn’t linger.

In fact, it took longer to narrate than it did to happen—it had been less than 30 seconds from their arrival to their departure.

While I was still in shock, I saw a red shadow pass by and lift a massive piece of debris, revealing a person underneath. She then tossed the debris aside and quickly helped the person, stopping the bleeding with a web.

I know everything about the Spider-Family, so I knew that Scarlet-Spider wasn’t a medic like Spider-Angel—she was the Spider-Family’s chairwoman. But even so, she still helped so many people in her own way, just like the entire Spider-Family.

Soon, I saw another one of my idols—Ghost-Spider—clearing the road of debris while leading multiple ambulances and pointing out locations where victims were trapped.

Not long after, Aunt May was carried into an ambulance, and I got in with her.

I looked at Aunt May, unconscious but okay, and then out the window, where I saw the silhouettes of the Spider-Family as they rescued people.

I will never forget what they did for me and Aunt May that day.

I just hope that one day, I can say…

Thank you!
