Chapter 43 - I am Spider Tobey

And today, Spider-Man and his super hotties...
""“Spider Wives”"" I was interrupted by the voices of my wives.
And today, Spider-Man and his super Spider-Wives will make their debut.

At that moment, I was on top of a building with the girls.
“Gwen, did you confirm that everything is working perfectly?” I asked.
“Of course! Do you think I’m Tony, who only does calculations once?” Gwen complained.

And yeah, Tony is very arrogant. He trusts his genius so much that he never double-checks calculations he’s already deemed correct. That often leads to accidents before he learns his lesson. Tony always tries to run before making sure he knows how to walk.

I looked at my web-shooters for a few more seconds and then put on my glove.
Unfortunately, my Anti-Ock suit isn’t as cool as when I make it with my symbiote, but Gwen still made it look amazing—way better than the one in the game.

The girls were also in their respective hero suits.
“Okay, Gwen, if I fall to my death, it’s your fault!” I joked, stepping up to the edge of the rooftop and looking down.

Seeing the 50-story drop, I didn’t worry too much and jumped.
As the wind violently whipped against my clothes, I stretched out my wrist and made the famous web-shooting gesture.
When my middle and ring fingers pressed against a specific part of my palm, a web shot out at a speed almost as fast as a bullet.

When my instincts and experience told me the web had connected to the next building, I let go of my fingers and firmly grabbed the web.
A smile spread across my face as the feeling of becoming Tarzan and swinging through the concrete jungle returned to me.

“WOOOOOHOOOOO!!” I shouted while doing flips in the air.

Soon, four shadows appeared around me. The girls started swinging beside me, laughing, doing acrobatics, and having fun.

We swung for five minutes before stopping on a building, sticking to the wall.
“Nice job, Gwen, making the suit stick to walls!” Emily gave Gwen a thumbs-up while one of her mask’s eyes playfully winked.

The rest of us also praised Gwen’s work.
“Unfortunately, Emily and I haven’t had time to create a serum to enhance our strength yet,” Ursula said, a little downcast.

“Don’t worry, darling. Making a serum takes much longer than working with technology. And now, with Gwen’s equipment, it’ll be much faster. Once you two reach Grandmaster in biological science and medicine, it’ll be even quicker.” I wrapped my arm around her shoulders, comforting her.

“Uhmm!” She nodded firmly at me.

As we were about to continue chatting, the earpiece under our masks buzzed in our ears.

"Dispatch, this is Officer Johnson. We have a 10-31 at ABC Bank, located at 123 Main Street. We observe 10 suspects armed with rifles. I repeat, 10 armed suspects on-site." A deep voice quickly reported amid the sound of sirens.

"Copy that, Officer Johnson. Reinforcements are being dispatched to your location immediately. Please keep us updated on the situation." A female voice responded quickly.

"Dispatch, we have hostages inside the bank. The suspects are wielding rifles and threatening customers and employees. We need a hostage negotiation team and a tactical rescue team." The officer reported again.

"Understood, Officer Johnson. The negotiation and rescue teams are en route. Stay calm and inform us of any changes in the situation." The female voice instructed before ending the transmission.

“Looks like we’ve got work to do. Let’s go!” I said as I jumped off the building.

“Well, duty calls.” MJ shrugged and followed.

We swung quickly, and four minutes later, we arrived at the scene.

“MJ and Ursula, take the three on the right. Gwen and Emily, the three on the left. I’ll handle the four in the middle. I know I don’t need to say this, but prioritize rescuing the hostages,” I said seriously.

The girls nodded, and we all jumped, quickly reaching the robbers.
Before they could see us, ten webs shot out and stuck to their gun barrels.

As we landed, five of the robbers went flying. Fortunately, there are always good criminals who help us land softly—with their bodies. For those who didn’t get it, we kicked them.

The robbers who were sent flying hit the walls hard and were immediately webbed up.

“Do you think the bank will pay for these paintings we put on the walls?” I joked with the girls.
“Maybe… depends on the name of the paintings.” Gwen joked back, stretching her arms and framing the so-called paintings with her fingers.

“I call it… ‘Criminals in the Web!’” I said, smiling and puffing out my chest with pride.
“So, I guess the answer is no!” Emily laughed in the background.

“Damn it, who the hell are you?” one of the robbers asked, angry and nervous.

“Any of you in the mood to chat with the bad guys?” I asked, feigning uncertainty.
“”””Nah!!”””” they answered.
“Thought so,” I said with a chuckle, and at that exact moment, as if by telepathy, we all lunged at the same time and took down the remaining robbers.

All the hostages stared at us in shock and silence, but one young man among them gathered the courage to ask, “W-Who are you?” The young man spoke nervously.

“Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Family!” I said in an excited voice.

We didn’t stay any longer and left.
As we exited, several police officers looked confused, watching five costumed people appear and disappear with extreme fluidity.
Of course, we didn’t forget to wave at them as we left.
