Chapter 30 - I am Spider Tobey

We are Peter.

Well, even though I have a symbiote, it is completely controlled by me. And me + me = me... okay, I lied. Following mathematical logic, me + me = 2me. But that’s beside the point. "We are Peter" isn't wrong, hehehe.

Anyway, what I mean is that the symbiote is not a second entity—it's just another part of me now, like my arm.

Damn, I need to stop rambling.

Right now, the girls and I are in the training chamber. It’s just an entirely white and empty room.

"AI chip, prepare the mental training pods!" I commanded.

Soon, five metallic, high-tech pods appeared in the room. The girls and I stepped into them.

In an instant, our vision shifted to a beautiful prairie.

The mental training pod is a technological device I created to synchronize our brainwaves and maximize our mental capacity.

"AI chip, activate the temporal function of the training chamber. Dilate time so that one hour equals one second," I ordered.

In reality, when we enter the pods, we can create synchronized lucid dreams. And using AI chip data, we can fully simulate a real physical environment.

Since brain synapses operate extremely fast, what we do in there happens much quicker than in the real world.

And about time dilation—well, you don’t think I’m worse than Kang the Conqueror, do you?! I’ve been able to manipulate space and time for a while now. I could leave this universe whenever I wanted. But despite my immense strength with my equipment and science, my understanding of magic is still very weak.

And I don’t have coordinates for the universe I want to go to. I could easily travel to a parallel reality, but the problem is that it might have magic—magic I don’t understand and that could pose a risk to me and my family.

There's a possibility I could just land in a universe where Ultron has all six Infinity Stones. While I believe I stand a good chance against Ultron if he doesn’t kill me instantly, all it would take is for him to be in a bad mood and snap his fingers, leaving me completely helpless.

And unlike Kang, who has infinite versions of himself across the Marvel multiverse, I was brought here directly by the creator of this multiversal sector. There is only one of me, and if I die, it’s over.

Well, back to the present.

"Alright, girls, let’s go over the differences between my symbiote and the original.

I found out that symbiotes are in an incomplete state, which is why they need to bond with other beings like a virus. In fact, that was the best definition I could come up with—they are more like viruses than parasites. Actually, viruses are cellular parasites, but not all parasites are viruses.

They are incomplete beings that cannot live on their own. If they weren’t strong, instead of hibernating, they would die. They cannot feed or maintain their forms alone. They cannot replicate without nutrients and a host.

Well, these are the characteristics of standard symbiotes. Stronger symbiotes evolve beyond these limitations.

"Of course, although I’ve corrected the issue of cellular mind degradation, they now need even more energy. Fortunately, I created organic Arc Reactors and integrated them into the symbiote structures. Now they have infinite energy and can do crazy things without worrying about running out of power. Just with your symbiote, you have Wolverine’s healing factor and can grow giant without Pym Particles."

Well, I created Wolverine and Ant-Man in this world, so the girls knew who they were.

In truth, my symbiotes are extremely strong. Unfortunately, to create them, I had to disconnect them from the hive mind, so I can’t use my powerful symbiotes to infiltrate the network. I can only use the original weak Venom to invade the connection inversely, which is why I need magic to break into minds like All-Black and Grendel.

But I didn’t come out empty-handed—the amount of information I’ve extracted from the hive mind using Venom is terrifying. Many symbiotes have already bonded with sorcerers, scientists, chi-manipulating martial artists, Kree, and many others.

I now have access to an entire legacy of magical theory without even having access to magic.

In reality, it was difficult to obtain information from sorcerers since they use magic to block their minds and prevent beings like Knull from accessing their knowledge. But by combining the AI chip with the hive mind, we managed to hack and control the symbiotes of these sorcerers, accessing their information in a more scientific and biological way rather than a magical one.

We also used the sorcerers’ own mental shields to prevent the information from leaking back to the hive mind, making it reach only us. This way, we stole information undetectably.

With so much knowledge, I was able to simulate magic in my mind and train to reach the pinnacle of the mystic arts. Of course, there’s still a long way to go, and these are only the teachings of the weakest sorcerers I managed to steal from, but with my genius, science, deduction, and AI chip, my path in the mystical arts will progress rapidly.

However, since I don’t have direct access to magic, my simulations are at best incomplete, as magic can behave differently in different situations. So I’ll have to wait until I truly obtain magic to deepen my understanding.

In fact, symbiotes are created by magic and use magic to access the hive mind, meaning I could use them as a medium to manipulate magic. But unfortunately, by cutting their connection to the hive mind, the symbiotes I created had difficulty accessing Knull’s dimensional power.

"Well, besides the fact that symbiotes can grow stronger alongside you, the last important change to mention is that they are completely disconnected from any other being—they are only linked to you. So there’s no danger of Knull, the creator of the Klyntar, controlling your symbiotes," I concluded.

"“““Wait, there's a Knull besides the one you created?!”””” the girls asked in unison, shocked.

Is it just me, or are the girls speaking together more and more?!

Never mind. Anyway, I created Knull and the Klyntar in my universe. Unfortunately, even though they are very similar and have the same powers, they lack magic, which limits their growth. Hehehe, soon I’ll have magic, and it won’t be long before I turn my symbiotes into the real thing… no, they’ll be even better than the real symbiotes. Mwahaha.

"It’s a gift I was born with—I know a little about the multiverse," I said, not wanting to drag the subject out.

"A gift like our bond?" the girls asked, understanding that I didn’t want to elaborate on my origins.

"Yes, just like the bond," I replied.
