So as Ventrue I blew the bank on bloodbags before going into the warrens. Which while costly, did their job and kept me alive and powered as I ran through the warrens, got to the end and realized I had to turn back to get that damn key. But the most memorable part of the experience was early on after the Andrei fight there's a back door in a maintenance office that leads to the surface. Pretty sure it was added by the unofficial patch, but with finite blood I decided to take it. I didn't have any blood dolls in Hollywood though, so took the cab back to The Asylum and fed there before going back to the Warrens. I'm glad it was there, but did give this surreal feeling of taking a break halfway through a dungeon so I can grab lunch.

Even using cheats to max out melee the sewer layout and puzzle solutions are so fucking bad it really felt like a level designer said "Time to make half life from memory! But first: three bottles of robitussin"

My favourite character I played, ever, was an insufferable Tzimsice autark (a vampire who chooses not to align with a Sect and functions as a kind of Baron). An Old Clan Tzimisce who came to the New World in pursuit of Sabbat traitors and wound up in torpor (woundsleep) for a couple decades and who contracted Vicissitude. He woke up, declared himself Boyar over a district of Cleveland, and promptly set about turning the children of local wealthy types into Ghouls right before they were meant to leave for college because he remembered when the noble families of the realm were an extension of Tzimisce rule. He ended up declaring a one-kindred war on the local Tremere after baiting them into handing him a reason and because of the information war element of VTM, no one could call his bluff. As far as anyone knew he could have been Generation 5 and did not want to fuck with him. Sadly the game fizzled out not too long after he sent a lengthy letter to the Prince outlining his casus bellum and magnanimously allowing the Prince to sit out the conflict. I was working my way to combining Vicissitude and Koldunic Sorcery in cool fucked up ways. Koldunic Sorcery let you do cool classic vampire shit, like allow your perception to extend over your domain, marshal ze children of ze night, etc. I'm a sucker for Fisher King type mechanics and bodily transformation.

Favorite Tzimice memory from the table: in a Sabbat game I played in one of our players was a Tzimice serial killer, who kept a deep freeze in our house’s basement for dead bodies/pieces of dead bodies. After a night where we “acted out”, Sabbat style, the local ruling body had some humans set our house on fire in the middle of the day. Pretty bad situation, but wait! In the basement! Our freaky flesh crafter has a big freezer! This was in fact able to save the three members of the pack who made it downstairs in time. RIP Sammy the Toreador Antitribu

I went to watch Roller Derby the other night. One of the announcer guys just kinda bullshits sometimes. Last time he was talking about Mario Party. This time one of the opposing team's jammers was named Celerity and he said "Ahh, Celerity a reference to Vampire the Masquerade." I thought that was funny for a few reasons.

So this is a thing that's maybe for the wrap up section, but I wanted to post it here. This is a good example of the issue I have with ya'lls thesis on this game. This game isn't better than the sum of its parts in my opinion, this is a archaic RPG and ImSim with bad/dated combat mechanics. It's saved and become a classic due to being put in a setting with some of the best most interesting lore in tabletop to draw from. Also because it has perhaps the best script in video game history. The fact that you recommend cheating all the time is both 1. Valid and necessary. 2. A total indictment of this game's combat systems, enemy and level design. This is a game that in my humble opinions way better in Lets Play format then to actually be behind the keyboard for. I love this game I had the physical copy at one point. But I just cannot get over the gameplay in the year of our lord Two Thousand and TwentyFive.
