It’s meant to be humorous, and mock the dysfunctional relationships, and the worst of the worst, in the hood/ghetto. He is in no way a misogynist. Cube is actually a family man that has been married for over 30 years, and his son actually played him in the Straight Outta Compton movie.

Yeah its a new level for Uzi but thats okay to start with this album for Uzi because it still is just as exciting plus you started your Carti journey with WLR

2023-06-30 14:58:47 +0000 UTCI think you’d really like a lot of what’s going on in Pink Tape, but it easily could have been a 14 song album instead of 26, there’s a run of about 8 songs that get a little boring and kinda take you out of the experience, then you jump right back in towards the second half

2023-06-30 14:35:08 +0000 UTCYeah. Amerikkkas Most Wanted and the Kill At Will EP contained in the other version is basically the official version of the album now. It's a shame Bob didn't do it, it has some of the best tracks like Dead Homiez and The Product. Oh well. For another time. :)

It's one of my favorite albums of all time, and I do think that Cube, once you get beyond some of the antiquated takes, is such an important voice in hip hop. Him and Public Enemy basically started the whole wave of socially conscious gangster rap. Tracks like Tales From The Dark Side are still poingant today, and I love how Cube uses a lot of storytelling to show us how fucked up his neighorhood can be on tracks like Once Upon A Time. He gets even better on the subsequent EP Kill At Will and Death Certificate, his magnum opus. Less woman bashing and more political statements and storytelling like on Today Was A Good Day. And just a side note: This album is amazing and everyone talks about Uzi Vert in the comments. Can people at least save it for the Discord channel?
