2022-10-15 05:05:12 +0000 UTCI'm so glad you really enjoyed this album! I could go on and on about different parts of this album cus holy shit there's so much going on. A couple things to note is that this and the next album are pretty much a double album, each half released a year apart. They are also specifically drawing themes and sounds from classic horror movies, which is why sometimes names of movies poped up in annotations. Like Nothing Is Safe is very close to the sound of the theme from Halloween, and several other nods. These themes do culminate into that ideas you talked about on Blood of the Fang, which heavily uses the sample from Ganja & Hess, making the full connection of Horror movies and real life horror. The next album also has a lot more dirrect references to movies. (Its also my favorite clipping album, no question) I love all the "Story" tracks cus they all build this little world that you just see pieces of. Once you've heard more you can start piecing together the different returning characters. We also still don't have Story 3 or 6. Also on the vinyl for this album, Piano Burning is all of Side D.
