You’ve heard him before on TLOP (Father Stretch My Hands Pt 1) and on Rodeo (several tracks)! Hope you get to hear more of him soon

2022-10-09 19:57:56 +0000 UTCI think for the shorter trap projects like this it’s definitely important to focus on production more, but don’t completely ignore the lyrics. There were a few good lines in here that I think you missed because you were focusing on sound (though its not too big of a deal, that’s what additional listens are for) 21 in particular is one of the “trap rappers” that I think does better with lyrics than most, he’s known for having a lot of good one liners in his projects. I think this one was a good reaction for a Monday, because I know they’re intended to be more casual.

2022-10-09 16:08:52 +0000 UTC21 is a very interesting artist to dive into. he is very acknowledged because he had a crazy development as a artist through his career. without warning was his second real project, but his solo albums i am > i was and savage mode 2 are probably 2 gems of the last 10 years. you really feel his lyrical development over the years and how he has gained the ability to also make mellow and/ or deep songs where he is talking about serious topics and reflecting on his traumas, like it’s briefly touched at in darth vader. one of his most famous clips is where he gets asked in a interview in what way he is dealing with the traumas and his answer is „just stay up at night and cry like a motherfucker“ a pretty rare statement of artists in the gangstarap genre. if you’re interested in him dive deeper, you will like it!

He’s arguably the most popular hip-hip producer of last 8 years or so and he’s made some amazing records with tons of big time artists. Savage mode 1 & 2 we’re both done by him. He also has an album called “not all hero’s wear capes” which is one of the best joint hip-hop projects i’ve ever heard. & the part2 to that album drops in a couple months. Love the video, keep it up!!
