liveloveasap first though

Asap Rocky is a must. I would recommend listening to UGK - Ridin Dirty, Bone Thugs n Harmony - E. 1999 Eternal and Three Six Mafia - Chapter 1 The End before Rocky. Or listen to Rocky, then those who came before him.

I completely agree. There is a lot to like in rap music that does appeal to stereotypes. Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, and Three Six Mafia are some of my favourite artists. There's a lot of ignorance there. But I've learned to appreciate it for what it is. You're missing out on a lot of genius if you dismiss it for being ignorant.

Well said, i feel the same way...stereotypes arent always negative if its authentic/relatable to alot of ppl. I def understand Bob's pov tho.

Hey Bob I think you should definitely consider doing a reaction to ASAP Rocky. At.Long.Last.Asap is one of the best hip hop albums of the last 10 years. He’s heavily underrated, yet he continues to be one of the most creative artists in the genre even with his most recent album testing. Testing had the best visuals with the music videos that he made that I’ve seen from any hip hop artist. But as a first introduction to him I would definitely recommend at.long.last.ASAP. The production he goes over is second to none and he has some of the best flows in the game. You can also hear the rock influence on some of the production.

I think something important to note about Chopper Won't Miss is that ultimately, negative stereotypes about Hip-Hop exist for a reason, they exist because those themes ARE present in a good amount of Hip-Hop and there's no denying it, the more important takeaway about rap isn't that rap has NO songs about killing and drugs etc. It's that that's not ALL rap is, there's a lot to rap, and some of it is violent and generic sounding, and some of it is profound and lyrically deep, and both sides of the spectrum are valid and important, they're just important for vastly different reasons, and I think there's something kind of beautiful about one genre having such a wide spectrum of sounds and subject matter.

Lil Mac

Rap Music by Killer Mike would be a good choice for a reaction.
