Reacting to Tupac's 'Me Against the World' (Full Album - Uncut)

Comments

I feel like u made me appreciate the album a little bit more. Really hope u do All Eyez On Me. That’s my favorite album. A legit hip-hop classic.

Jay Dog

Regarding the song ‘Old School’, believe it or not. Tupac was originally from the East Coast. Born and raised in New York until age 9. Then moved to Baltimore until age 17. He moved to California at 17. He was real close to Biggie before the beef, and went back and fourth from both west and east coast before he got set up in New York. That set up started the beef with many rappers from New York, but he always had love for the East Coast, and where he came from.

Brandon Williams

I came across you today. Immediately subbed to your patreon. Hope you do more Pac soon

Anthony McDavid

I know I'm a few weeks late but when he was talking about anger on Death Around the Corner, I just can't wait until he reacts to The Blacker the Berry.

Christian Lourenco

I can hear some of Willshire in the message of can you get away.

Shurikinney

You have to start with all eyes on me album..

I spent a good chunk of today listening to his interviews. I really appreciate Tupac a lot more after hearing his thoughts and how passionate he is about them.

Bob_the_Poppop

Yes! This is a good idea. I had meant to link these, but I forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me. I'll probably drop them in tomorrow 👍

Bob_the_Poppop

Not sure if you’re aware, but Tupac was what people consider Kendrick today. Poetic, respectful and hard but emotionally raw. He was the son of a black panther so his passion for things runs in his veins. He was also known for respecting women in a time where it wasn’t cool. I think you’d really enjoy some of his interviews, he’s very instrospective and prophetic.

Can U Get Away and Dear Mama best songs

Kendrick also mentioned the 'father absence' and the importance of a father figure in life, but its all with a 'twist' :) in his case, on his last album (so far) called DAMN, consider it after TPAB

jimmyvinyl

I know you had the poll a while ago. But I think that unlisted links to past live streams being on patreon would be cool.

Landin

Lots people said Pac was a must for TPAB, but some others mentioned Jay Z as well, so doing Reasonable Doubt next week and then TPAB

Bob_the_Poppop

This album really surprised me. I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did.

Bob_the_Poppop

This album is my favorite from pac, its so amazing

I hope everyone gets out. I know that they don't, but I hope that the do. No one deserves to live in that kind of world.

Bob_the_Poppop

I want to do All Eyes on Me, but it's a lot of music that I'll probably do over a 2 week period. I mainly did this album to prepare myself for TPAB.

Bob_the_Poppop

You asked how us that truly relate Dear Mama feel about it. Im 32 yrs old and "dear mama" "hey mama" and "he say she say" by lupe fiasco bring me to tears EVERYtime. Its ll an overwhelming flood of memories and emotions.AND this is comming from a chicago kid with participation trophies in all the "Mad city" has to offer, if you catch my drift. Also id say that fathers in the hood are definitely the solution and most of us who make it to 25 alive and without lengthy prison sentences usually do become the father figure we needed BUT we also take our family and leave the hood because it aint easy trying to strive amongst misery.

I Think if u started with all eyes on me would be better.. anyways, lets have some fun ! Thanks bob and keep it going baby. Can’t wait for 2022🔥🔥

Z E U S

They're on the list, and I'm excited to get to them 👍

Bob_the_Poppop

2pac interviews are top notch. You nailed it with your synopsis that he viewed himself as a martyr.

Paul Salvador Estrada

you should check out a tribe called quest the low end theory its an amazing jazz rap album and in my opinion the best rap album of the 90s

Listening to Tupac is possibly the only requirement to understand To Pimp A Butterfly.

Malik

I REALLY enjoyed this album... really enjoyed it. I was quite surprised at what Tupac had to say in this album, and I'm so happy to be proven by him and what he stands for compared to what I thought about him before.

Bob_the_Poppop

2 songs in and im very happy to be a patreon...2pac is without a doubt regarded as the G.O.A.T MC by anybody who has really listens to him. Also i dont know if you fuck with astrology Bob but its interesting that 2pac Kanye and Kendrick are all Geminis.Duality is a key component of all their music.

Paul Salvador Estrada

Let’s goooooo 🔥💙
