I'm happy to announce the launch of our Discord server, Kaname's Japanese Club! There you can talk about all things related to Japan or Japanese language. There is a Japanese language only channel, as well as other channels where you can ask questions about Japanese or Japan-related topics, or simply share funny or interesting Japanese things you've come across. I want this community to be a place where members learn and have fun together.
Learning a language is tough, and it takes time to see real progress. People often get discouraged because they don't notice their improvement. “I've studied Japanese for a year, and I still feel like I'm not getting anywhere!” Especially if you are studying Japanese alone, without anyone to practice with, without encouragement from peers or teachers, your journey to learn Japanese can start to feel mundane and dull, leading some to give up.
I hope this community can become a ship that carries you to the destination of your Japanese learning journey. You will have many buddies on board with you who will help and motivate you to keep moving forward. You might get seasick at first, but I assure you it will be a fascinating journey.
I will also participate in the conversations and share some interesting words or phrases or some knowledge about Japan and Japanese. I’ll do my best to make it meaningful and interesting.
