Yay!!! I was about to ask if it would be "cheating" if I bumped up my membership and made all four of my choices 'Lisa Frankenstein' to improve the odds of it being selected in the drawing because I knew how interested you were watching it. 🤣

Amanda, you're in for a treat. We made a vid for Lisa for YouTube. Coming soon 💕 Obviously, the Uncut will be posted here first👌 Going into Serial Mom, we didn't know it was a satire and a strong social commentary. I personally thought it was going to be a horror comedy. It was a lot, but it is a very much needed story even or maybe especially now. Agreed, and totally fair. I'd even say they highlighted the previous couple decades more there than the 90s - Maria

I want to start off stating that ‘Lisa Frankenstein' is much closer to what you two were expecting this film to be so I am sure you will really enjoy it. I never really thought of it this way, but the intensity of the critique in this film is quite high so I can see how it can be surprising to people. I concur that this film ends up being most understood by the people that are already aware of and agree with the points being made. This film came out when I was 6 years old so I don't know much about how well it was received at that time. I first saw this film on tv when I was probably around 12-13 years old. Even though I was a kid in the 90s, I had still lived through and recognized the ridiculous or stupid aspects of American society of that decade. I loved that this film was pointing them out. I had not seen that many shows or films that were so satirical of American culture at that point in my life. I really enjoy the sort of juxtaposition of Beverly generally being a “good” wife, mother, and person, but repeatedly deciding on such lethal solutions for certain minor slights. It was quite interesting for me to see you, two non-Americans, watch it for the first time 30 years after it was originally released.
