A lot of people said this movie was bad (clearly they weren't long time scream fans) but I thought it was pretty good, btw finally joined the Patreon family today!!!! Also, there is an easter egg in this movie. In scream 4, we all thought Kirby (short-haired blonde girl) died but she actually survived when Charlie stabbed her. In Scream 5 when Richie was at home watching YouTube right before Tara was attacked at the hospital, on his computer screen in the recommended videos, the first video was a thumbnail with Kirby's character titled something like "Kirby Reed, survivor of Woodsboro murders". Being she was a fan favorite, I loved that! You guys should definitely watch When a Stranger Calls (2006 & of course the original). It's more of a thriller than a slasher but in the same department as far as creepy phone calls and voices.

I hope you’re doing well out there hospital! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the movie! It absolutely sucks that they killed dewy! They could’ve let him survive and be like scream 2 when we througt he was dead but came out the theatre alive. I can see Neve not wanting to come back because of that!

Sorry it took me until today to watch. Yesterday I was in the hospital longer than expected getting ECG test & x rays done. Blah boring stuff. Anyway, you know I have too much knowledge in my head but haven’t had the time to sit and write all the Easter eggs & references, etc to share yet but I can’t wait to share all that with y’all but I did want to share my thoughts on the movie and share one piece of BTS information about Dewey’s death (because I still cry lol that also may be because I’m far too sensitive lol) Top Emotional Scenes For Me 1. Dewey’s death (It took me so long to watch because I didn’t want to believe it. But if you look, you’ll notice that Dewey purposely looked away from Amber and at his phone. He saw Gales face and he smiled knowing she was the last person he saw before he died.) 2. Gale asking Sidney if she wanted to kill Amber but Gale said the honor should go to her as she was the one to not only kill Dewey but brag about it. 3. Dewey and Sidney phone call. Even though, he acted like he wasn’t going to help, he knew when he talked to Sidney he was going to. They both knew he was going to get involved which is why Sidney said what she said. He knew he wasn’t going to make it and he didn’t want Sidney to risk her life (&leaving her kids without their mom like Maureen was killed) so he said don’t come back no matter what aka when she heard he was killed. 4. Gale & Dewey’s conversation about their breakup but more important she was the one who reminded him of who he is so when he had the chance to help someone else so when he saw Tara was in trouble.. he looked at Gale, remembered this was the man she fell in love with and left. 5. Sheriff Judy and her son.. for multiple reasons. 6. Sidney’s return to help and comforting Gale. Their relationship really blossomed over the years. The way Sidney and Gale’s relationship has changed over the years. Gale telling Sidney she shouldn’t be there with a killer on the loose as she is more worried about Sidney’s safety. Also the way she fell out of the chair because her instinct was to go to Sidney and even trying to encourage her to be strong. Even tho Gale had been shot, she was more worried about Sidney than herself. Who knew the woman who called her a liar and the one who punched her would team up like this. I feel like their bond grew with each year and especially knowing how Dewey felt about the other. 7. Tara crying to her sister. This isn’t in the movie but my thoughts as a sensitive cry baby. Who gets Tatum’s ashes now? Most likely Dewey had them if his parents weren’t around anymore so who would Tatum go to? 💔 I know it sounds stupid.. TOP FUNNY MOMENTS: 1. The scene of Dewey saying, “maybe your the killer cause that cut deep” is gonna be an iconic line for me. 2. “That’s a terrible reason for me to talk to you.” 3. “Uglier Michael Myers” a iconic one liner BTS INFORMATION ON DEWEYS DEATH David, Neve & Courtney fought back against Dewey being killed because they believed it went against Wes Craven and what he wanted. Wes is the reason Dewey survived the first 2 Scream movies. Here’s some quotes from them… Neve: "I was devastated" Campbell replied when asked about Dewey's death. "I still have trouble wrapping my head around it. I still question whether it was the right choice because from what I'm hearing, there are a lot of fans who are really upset." Because of this, there is a less likely chance she’ll return to the franchise until she reads an actual script. Neve: When asked if she discussed the decision with Cox and Arquette, she added, "We did. We were sad about it. Courtney had tried to tell the directors to shoot it both ways to give themselves the option because Wes [Craven] would do that sometimes when there were certain characters that were so beloved." THE MOST TELLING BTS INFO: ** However, Dewey's demise was fiercely debated, as the studio had second thoughts about his death into production, asking the directors to film an alternate version where he survived. They obliged the request, but did so in a way that was never really usable. "Just to describe the shot, it was an over-the-shoulder from behind Gale and Sid of a doctor's legs. It was absolutely not really a usable shot. Shot' is very generous, said Bettinelli-Olpin. The shot would've had Dewey recovering from surgery after his grisly attack, with Gillett explaining the situation as such: "We very begrudgingly got one shot that you could put some voiceover over, like, He woke up from surgery, he's gonna be fine,' With no intention of ever f*cking using it." Here’s a piece from an interview David did: ** So how did you find out Dewey was going to die? Was it a conversation with the filmmakers? I'm guessing you didn't find out by reading the script. That's exactly how it happened. (Laughs) My heart sank when I got to that page, for sure. That's how you found out? What did you do in that moment? I read it. I put it down. I took a deep breath. It was sad. I mean, it's something that I've been a part of for so long. So I had to process that. But I get it, I get the emotional stakes that were involved to draw on. ** I'm imagining his death was hard on Courteney and Neve as well? Were you all upset? I think a lot of it just had to do with the fact that Dewey's character was kind of Wes-like. So there was a sadness in that. Throughout filming, there was a real feeling of mourning and missing someone you love so much. ** Did you ever base him on Wes or any of his mannerisms or his spirit? No, but I think Wes infused a lot of that in me. Wes would come up with these funny things, like Dewey eating ice cream while the other sheriffs smoked. Or the scene in the first film with him and Gale: "Do you know what that constellation is?" "No, what is it?" "I don't know, that's why I was asking you." Moments like that, where his humor crossed over.

Idk if yall peeped but when Richie was looking at the youtube video reviews of stab 8.. in the recommended videos on the side it shows an interview with a survivor of scream 4 so that means she will be in scream 6 probably

Drew and Dallas was turnt in this intro. Whats in that mason jar besides coffee lol. that scene with Gale and Dewey arguing when they came back had to be real emotional for the both of them seeing how they were married in real life and divorced shortly around the time the 4th one came out while still portraying a married couple and having to have that discussion as a divorced couple in that one scene
