Pathologic Part 2 and Plans For March - Update 03/06/2021

Hey ya'll!

Just wanted to touch base really quick and let ya know what's been happening. I know I said I was planning on getting that Cyberpunk video out which obviously didn't happen, but for good reason.

Largely by accident, I wrote a TON of words for the Part 2 of the Bachelor's Route script last month. I wasn't planning on spending so much time on it, but the video has been performing exceptionally well with a pretty constant stream of people talking about how much they're looking forward to it, as well as the largest influx of you fine people who have opted to support my work that I've ever had (hi, hello, welcome, how are you, thank you very much, you're too kind~ <3). All of this has been pretty motivating to say the least, so I decided to at least try to get started with it, maybe do a rough draft for Day 6, maybe even 7, just so I had a starting point for when I really wanted to commit to it, y'know? Anyways, next thing I know here I am 3 weeks later and this is what it looks like:

I would say that the script is about 85-90% done. I don't expect it to break 30k (need to keep SOME kind of leash on this) but I still definitely got a few thousand more to go. The rough draft of every day, along with the intro and outro, are complete with the exception of Days 10 & 11. Even those though have already been thoroughly outlined and I generally know what they're going to look like. All of this to say that, with any luck, recording and editing on Part 2 could be well under way by the end of the month.

I am so, so frickin' excited for this project. I've spent a lot of time revisiting Part 1 and doing my best to feel out what I think works best about it and what I think I could improve about it, and I think that is coming through in full force with this script. I have a LOT of really cool plans for this one, and add to that that this is where the game's story goes from interesting to phenomenal, and I'm only looking forward to seeing it come together.

So, with that in mind, here's my current goal:

One short video each month, while I continue to work on the Pathologic video. Last time, working on a single project that long eventually became exhausting and honestly a little anxiety inducing, so going to do my best to avoid that. This may mean that it will take a hot minute for next Pathologic video to come out in it's final form, but I do think it will be ideal. Want to be able to give that project only my best, and it's also good for the health of the channel. Once progress has been made on it, I will start posting monthly progress updates with rough cuts of the video, similar to how I did last time. I would say to expect the first of those next month at the earliest, month after at the latest.

For right now, going to focus on getting the rough draft of the Pathologic script done so I can start pre-production on it, and as soon as that done I'm going to run out a video about a very specific scene from Cyberpunk 2077 that I just can't get out of my head. After that, just take it one video at a time as best we can for the foreseeable future.
