Epidemius, tallyman of nurgle - final Golden demon piece for Adepitcon!

Hey everyone - here is the main reason why I have been so quite lately! 😅

My favorite Nurgle character , & therefore I needed to do my own version of it!

It’s been ongoing for almost a year now, both sculpting & the actual paint job , so it is definitely the most invested project for me, so far.

There is a lot I can say about this project - but the most important fact is that during spring of last year I went through a rough time privately , & I needed a long term project , in order to set up som goals for the coming period - besides that, it was important it was a joyful scene joyful with some strong colours ! So it was kind of s recovery project, if you will.

& Who doesn’t love a cheerful nurgle boss & some annoying nurglings?

I will also do a post about the composition, but I put a lot of effort in getting a lot of upwards movement on his left, & downwards movement on his right - besides that, of course the hourglass shape of the whole piece.

If you are wondering “what’s up with the weird motive on the banner?” It’s an homage to the old Epidemius model freehand - I have no idea what it actually is, but it represents the absurdity of nurgle 😃
