I think this show unfairly got high expectations from me cos SOOOO Many people dm'd me about it and it continues to be ...okay. Had they formatted different I think I would've been invested more.
I also DESPERATELY was waiting to fall in love with someone's voice like I did in Build Up and it's all more of the same delivery/pretty tones over and over and overrr again. The voices ARE different but how they're performing songs is just underwhelming to my ears besides ONE singer who really impressed me.
I'm eagerly looking forward to episode 3 where they sing together because the singular voices weren't hitting at all. I might've felt the same about Build Up if they did this but they quickly moved to group singing which is waaaay more dynamic.

2024-06-26 06:15:15 +0000 UTCThe next episode is mostly just a continuation of the current round - I honestly second the comment saying to just watching the performances as most of my favourites happened ep 4 onwards. The show can get a little boring, but the best performances here are better than Build up's imo.
