Like can we let their individuality and personalities SHINE PLEASE? Thank god for Anderson, who was the least reserved, must be his Canadian up bringing. I liked Jungmin too.
Also, the fact I forgot this is for NCT Tokyo LOOL until like episode 2.
So far, I can't say I'm excited for the final line up based on these 2 episodes. It feels like the Kpop industry is focused on talent over it factor and charisma. Just like those companies that tried to make their own Britney Spears/Justin Bieber, I think the market is just churning out forgettable groups with members that have talent but sometimes even that alone is not enough, much like Eunhyuk said.
OF course they might grow to become amazing performers however there's sooo many idols to pick from it's more likely they'll just fade into meh territory than becoming something amazing and I blame the companies, not the trainees. They're just trying their best.
These are my honest feelings at the moment, this may change as the episodes go on but man, so many competition shows it's hard to keep track :'(.

I even mentioned the blatant DIFFERENCE between their heavily edited VCR shots where they look paler then their real life filming. At noo point did I blame the trainees either, I'm pretty sure I even said it's the companies picking the same aesthetics in idols. Compare the faces of the BTS & ATEEZ members to RIIZE & Boynextdoor. I'm not blind and will acknowledge the similarities BECAUSE I can actually tell people of different races apart. The 4th gen look is getting boring to the point even the hair colour of the members is the same.

This show to me is the best survival show because it focuses on talent & not unnecessary inclusions to not make each episode 3 hours long & they actually get to the point of the show. Also I find it a little racist to say that the sm trainees look similar, like how is that their fault?

2023-09-04 11:26:01 +0000 UTCI feel the show does not help to showcase their personalities what so ever too, mainly because there is no voting system that is not in house, therefore they only really to need appeal to the judges and directors not an audience or camera. The show from what i've seen is very skill based and less about personality, probably becauase of the shorter episode length in comparrison to other shows of the same genre. Also the language barrier will not help at all, we have koreans who can't speak japanese and japanese who can't speak korean and then Anderson who cannot speak both.

Having multiple different people in a group makes the group dynamic impressive! For example people are always so impressed with SEVENTEEN because they are all so different and you can see that when they perform but they are also clean, synchronized, and all great performers. #DisappointedWith4thGen
