thank you!!! i absolutely despise the way people speak about jimin and downplaying his passion for making music when he was directly involved in the entire making of face, and trying to make him seem like he has no artistic identity it just shows how little people know jimin

I know you didnt mean harm but this idea that Jimin is only a dancer/performer and not interested in music creation really needs to stop. He literally lived with his producers and worked every day on it for months cos it was his first time creating an album for ground zero. Also this album was deeply personal for him and he didnt expect it to do well chart wise for that reason so for you to say that this music tells us nothing about him and isnt authentic makes me a bit frustrated/confused but I am assuming you didnt fully keep up with what was happening when the album released. His entire album expresses his struggles with various emotions during the pandemic. There are themes of substance abuse and escapism, loneliness and depression... Ofc if his music is simply not to your taste and you dont understand/connect with it thats 100% ok but please stop implying that Jimin is only a dance performer when he is multi dimensional artist who is deeply passionate about all aspects of his job as an idol and musical artist.

I’m not really sure, and I’m not trying to speak for him, but I just feel like he’s in it more for the performance aspect of it all. I think he performs well and has great stage presence and that’s what I love about him. Like for these songs, I think it might have been less about creating a great well rounded song with great production and lyrics, versus making songs that he could perform to and create a concept around… just a thought. I could be completely off tho lol 😂 But it’s true that nothing about these feel genuine or authentic, and they don’t tell me anything about him or who he is sadly

2023-05-27 22:54:24 +0000 UTCI'm pretty new to this channel, but I have really enjoyed CeeCee's reactions. I purposely scroll through all the videos looking for her face on the thumbnails lol. I will say, as someone who loves BTS and is a Jimin bias, I understand and agree with a lot of what CeeCee points out. I definitely think Jimin has the ability and potential to do so much more and develop into a great solo artist. I would agree that neither of these songs would or should be considered "great music", however I do like them and I can see why Like Crazy made it to number 1. I think a lot of songs that make it to the top of the Top 100 aren't always "great songs." Sometimes it's just about being catchy, or maybe it went viral, or maybe it was just a cool vibe. For me, I like these songs (particularly "Like Crazy") due to their mindless pop vibes. There are many many songs out there I really like just because I can play them in my car and just vibe and sing a long, or play it while I'm getting ready or cleaning up. For me personally, music doesn't always have to be life changing or mean something. Of course it helps if a song can encapsulate all of that, but if not it doesn't totally lose its value for me. However, to CeeCee's point again, I would have loved for Jimin to explore that Serendipity vibe more and dig deeper into that because I feel like it suited him best, and that was one of the first K-pop songs I heard and it made me a forever Jimin bias. However, I also agree with what was said in the RM Deep Dive reaction, that they need time to truly experience living their own lives before we get any truly consistently "great songs" from them.

Love this and well said! I really wasn't touched by either of these songs ngl, but I know that so much effort went into it, especially the dancers, so I'm still appreciative!

He said Elton John had told him to go away for a while and experience new things, let the world miss him for a bit ("Even i'm sick of you Ed" 😂). Its such great advice and didn't harm Ed's career one bit. Taeyang's (Big Bang) another great example, he's come back so strong because he now has life experience.

I really feel like 'Like Crazy' only made number one because it was Jimin which then feeds my growing iritation with the fandom who always harp on about loving all the members equally. It's not a good song. I think Jungkook especially is in danger of being completely overhyped, the expectations are too high! Only Suga seems to have a clear idea of who he is outside the group. I think they should look up the countries where they are the least popular & go travel there (in annonimity), go get some life experience outside of the bubble they live in. They'll grow as people & get tones of inspo creatively.
