For this stage,Taemin was catchy due to his sharp and clean moves, that's his signature and despite the obvious MJ inspiration, make him more seen as creative, original, artistic while Jimin danced in a smoother way with slower transitions to execute movements (matching the "contemporary style"), it was in itself pleasant to see but not quite matching the fast and rhythmic beat of the song they danced on it in my opinion. What I disliked on this performance was the visual work of the stage: the decors, the walls, floor, backdancers outfits and Taemin and Jimin's outfits all dark/black mainly not enlightening their moves at all. It was hard to focus on them both when the lights were flashing hecticly as well. For the "commercial" qualification of Jimin's style, well he comes from a very commercial, merchandised, following trends group while Taemin comes from the complete opposite (Shinee being the trend maker, the experimental, original group) and had the chance to very early express and execute his own vision of a singer and dancer.

2022-04-27 18:28:26 +0000 UTCNawww, cause when she did those little pops explaining how Jimin looked commercial and Taemin looked like MJ, I understood completely. But that makes sense bc Jimin has worked very hard for years to be more commercial. Also, I have like Jimin hears the beat different bc when you watch him dance with others in slow-mo, he's a tiny bit slower than everyone else a lot of the time. Either way, he's exceptional! They both are.
