Thanks! What sort of stuff you interested to see here?

So while I know you guys're primarily interested in supporting the project, we're still looking at extra content and such we could give ya here in this feed.

Know that this is all a bit new at this stage :)

What we're planning now:

• A Patreon-only post at least weekly.  These'll range from my random musings to city restaurant guides and such.
• A reposting of the videos/Reddit threads.  I think I'll prolly make that Patreon-only but I might end up making it public.
• Early videos. So one thing I should be able to do is post the videos here right after I'm done editing them on Mondays Beijing time.  Word of warning though - if I do that I wouldn't be able to be as responsive as I normally am after uploading... editing days are kinda intense morning to evening affairs and I gotta veg after lol 

Something we gotta figure out... Request Logistics:

So we've always liked listening to recipe requests, whether on YouTube or Reddit. While we like to throw in the random sort of "From-Scratch Puffed Rice Cakes with Sanxian Sauce" to broaden things up a bit, we really wanna share recipes that people want to learn.

Requests are awesome for that.  They give us guideposts on what people are interested in, and it's always nice to be able to fulfill em.

While I was writing the tiers here, I kinda haphazardly wrote that "requests go to a list and we'll choose from that list monthly". Basically, I wanna devise a system for Patron requests to get priority but we can ensure that we can actually make a good video out of em.

Any ideas would be helpful :) In a few days I'll make a 'June request thread' where we'll share our tentative plan for the May videos and take requests for June.

Other possible things we might be able to do:

So the two things we can't do right now for ya guys is (1) make additional video content and (2) share additional (tested) recipes. Video's a ton of work, especially for someone like myself that's a total amateur lol. And the recipes usually take a number of iterations before we're satisfied with the results (but I mean... if you ever want some general ideas for random Cantonese homecooked stuff, ask away in the groups!)

Almost anything else is cool. A couple ideas:

• Patreon has this 'Lens' feature, where we can show some really random footage from us filming/cooking/whatever. We might be able to play around with that.
• Some random pics/cell phone videos of food we've eaten while traveling.
• Discussion threads.
