I've been trying out a brush that has a bit of texture to it as well as using a different paper texture over the entire image. I dig how it looks I think.

I've also been experimenting with how I color my lines. I've been working with a layer setup like this:

I draw on the middle layer which results in lines that, when using pen pressure, give you dark black lines when pressed hard and lighter orange lines with pressed lightly. (was going for a sepia type look).

Then after the colour on the character's was done. I copied all the colour layers, merged the copy together. Changed the layer type to overlay, then clipped that above the orange overlay layer. Thus giving my lines a little more vibrancy where there are lighter colour (like Mari's white fur areas).
