2026-01-10 21:17:02 +0000 UTCthe one thing I hate about this episode is the directors are trying to gaslight you to believe a master archer would shoot for center mass or the head instead of shooting for the much harder to defend lower body...

2025-12-09 08:42:08 +0000 UTCnah you are right they are Wyverns from our traditional understanding of the creatures, but George RR martin has stated that in GOT universe they are in fact Dragons, there are actual wyverns in the world as well, but the things we see are in fact Dragons. Martin also based his thinking on the fact that no known species has four legs and two separate wings, and references species like bats to show why he chose the wyvern design for his dragons

2025-12-06 04:47:25 +0000 UTCCrazy how Alicia came up with the same name so quick! I remember Don was so surprised/impressed when she said it.

2025-12-05 19:25:16 +0000 UTCthey dont say fire when they shoot arrows because there is no fire without gunpowder. Fire came later with cannons

2025-12-05 15:52:19 +0000 UTCJust noticed it this episode but the dragons are technically Wyverns, their arms are their wings. I'm sure someone will roast me if I'm wrong on this

2025-12-05 15:13:44 +0000 UTCThe Sansa stuff is annoying. Initially, i thought they were trying to make Sansa more strategic.. Like maybe she wanted Jon to lure Ramsay into her trap.. But the only resolution we get is Sansa saying "sry i didn't trust u jon lol". So. yea.... the writers never truly thought about her motivations or reasons. It was just a lazy way of giving her a "moment". Its also fairly ridiculous that Ramsay somehow didn't know that Littlefinger had garrisoned Moat Cailin (for months?). Its the most strategic and important fortress in the whole north. How does that information not leak in SOME way... Some rider.. some townsperson.. some escaped soldier....

2025-12-05 13:46:23 +0000 UTCIdk if Alicia remembered that she called the title of this episode like 4 or 5 episodes ago but if you go back when she said that the fight between Jon and Ramsy should be called Battle of the Bastards Don made a face.

2025-12-05 12:43:22 +0000 UTCIconic battle, but I have two major issues with the episode's logic: 1) Sansa hiding the possible aid of the knights of the Vale from Jon makes no sense. That's just the writers not knowing how to justify the last-minute save because if Jon knew, he would've obviously waited for them instead of sending thousands to die for nothing. 2) Not giving the giant any sort of weapon is just stupid. I understand that there was neither time nor people who could craft a custom giant weapon, but even a simple log would've broken the shield wall formation or at least be a formidable threat. Heck, even just throwing rocks. Also obligatory trivia of the shield at the end being from a Mormont soldier, meaning at least one of them managed to break in Winterfell.

2025-12-05 09:59:21 +0000 UTC41:00 as a quick answer to your question about why they dont say "Fire" its because that didnt become the term used until Fire-arms. You draw arrows and let them "Loose!" You set "Fire!" to the touch-hole/fuse of guns and cannons
