Exactly 💯so lemme get this straight; in July we've gotten 2 GOT episodes,0 uncut gameplay,no new exclusive podcasts and the month is already halfway done,on YT, uploads are there granted, however saying you have daily uploads is a HUGE stretch, recording in 3 different timezones must be challenging, nevertheless some courtesy and updates concerning uploads would go a long way,but radio silence..... it ain't right imo

2025-07-16 20:27:57 +0000 UTCyeah, i mean it is coming up to nearly two weeks now, so they really need to be uploading otherwise whats the point of paying for patreon if we only get like 1-2 episodes a month. But at the very least just let us know if theres a delay and when to expect the next episode.

That is, the show is not the books and I want to make it clear thar my issues with what they changed is just because it's different, it's that it's objectively worse. The books always had their own issues but some of the refreshing things about them is that characters like Sansa and Cait weren't just the very standard sexist stereotypes that you expect them to be given how the genre tends to portray their types of characters. But Sansa in the show is flattened and doesn't do anything than just stay there and get abused. And Cait in the books isn't just like an evil witch stepmother who "couldn't love a motherless son" or wished death on ab infant based on jealousy and spite. Like, that's a pretty sexist stereotype that is a dime in a dozen in the fantasy genre. And that's not what she is the books but it is what she is the show. Cait in the books doesn't hate Jon, she's afraid of him. There is a very long history of trueborn children getting offed by their bastard half siblings out of jealousy or desire for power. Cait tried to meet Ned half way and asked him to send Jon away or have him be fostered by one of his banner man instead of having him be raised with her children as "equals" because she was afraid that it would breed resentment and jealousy in Jon as he got older and was treated differently for being a bastard while also being treated by Ned like he wasn't except for the part where he'll never inherit anything. But Ned refuses for the same reason he didn't just do something about Cerise when she was alive, because he wanted to think better of other people. But Cait was literally right though. I mean, like I don't think any version of Jon would take it as far as killing off Robb and his half brothers. But Jon did grow up resentful and jealous. And book Jon on top of that is actually pretty smart, morally ambiguous at times, and most importantly, ambitious. So when you put all that together, it's easy to understand why book Cait would be afraid Jon was going to kill her kids and try to take over. Again, I don't think book Jon would take it that far, but Cait had no reason to assume he wasn't or would be capable of it one day, she had every reason to be afraid of him. But no, in the show is just an evil lying witch step mother.
