That means that the listener isn't a character in this one, instead, you're just listening into a roleplay with characters that aren't y'know... 'your POV'.
In this case, you're hearing Viktor's end of a phone sex conversation, lots of moaning, masturbating, needy love he'd never admit out loud. I guess you could put yourselves in the shoes of Jayce if you wanna but eeeh there's whole segments at the start and end he wouldn't be there for so bleeeh.
