Thank you all a bunch for your feedback, it's greatly appreciated.
In the next update (February) the scene where Eliza loses control and kills the barmaid is changed to a choice, so you the player can decide whether she gives in to the bloodlust or regains her control.
You will have to replay that scene again to get the choice and correct dialogue moving forward, however if you already moved far past it and don't have a save for it, it won't break anything going forward.
