Full setup

For those curious about what I normally use, here is my now full setup! A Canon 24mm 1.4L, a sigma 35mm 1.4 art lens, a canon 85mm 1.4L, a Canon 100mm 2.8L macro lens, and a Canon 135mm 2.0L lens. My main body is my Canon 5D MkIV (I’m hoping to add a second one of those in the next few months) and my backup (not pictured) is my old Canon 70D. My flash I use is a 600ex RTii and has an amazing recycle time for its batteries! Not pictured is the stuff I barely use and might try to sell, including the 70D. I still have an old nifty fifty (50mm 1.8) which was my first baby lens and an 18-135 which isn’t the best and I haven’t ever used LOL. Have any questions about my gear?? I’d be more than happy to answer!

I get that. Sometimes it's what you know and are comfortable with. I also had the 70D for a long time. That was a great camera!

Ahh yeah, unfortunately two card slots is a must, especially for weddings. I would get a 6D as a 2nd body but the fact that it doesn't have the second slot kills it. Maybe in the future it will change though!

Maybe in the future but not right now! I really love the colors of it and even though it may have issues with focus, it seems to hit for me most of the time!

I know that Sigma 35 is a great lens, but looking at that picture... Might there be a future where you swap it out for the Canon 35 to complete the set?

Fair point! I'm sure the model with the second card slot is on the way. I've just become so enamored with using an EVF that I don't think I can go back to a DSLR. But I also often use one card slot, even though I have two, so any advice from me is suspect. ;)

I have thought about it but it comes with the downside of not having a second card slot which is imperative to making sure your cards don’t corrupt!! With such high stakes in my photography I can’t chance loosing photos that easily! Maybe if they come out with one that had a second card slot I may consider it! I also use live view on the Mk IV when I shoot so I can tap the screen and focus anywhere :)

Rather than another 5DIV, have you considered adding an EOS R? It's the same sensor, so it will match perfectly with the 5D, but you gain the ability to focus anywhere in the frame, which is my favorite thing about mirrorless. And with the R-EF adapter, all of your wonderful lenses will work perfectly.
