So, it's been raining these days and it's been cold as hell (it's winter over here)... or at least some part of hell... I assume there is a cold hell for those who hate cold... anyway! I tried to keep doing the animation, and I did animate it a bit more but the cold was not letting my hands do well and Moho is already kind of annoying at selecting the vertices with mouse or pen. Seeing that I wasn't getting much done I switched to work on the game itself, as it's something I'll have to do as well.
I worked on a Front/Back row system because, what's a dungeon crawler without one? Not a very deep one. That's what it is. Took some work getting it to show properly on the main menu and to make bows negate the damage reduction of the back row but I got it working just fine after some script studying and writing. And well, that got me thinking... how big the party should be?
First, I'd like to talk a bit about what's been thought for the game.
So far I have created 5 Classes: Barbarian, Knight, Adventurer, Cleric and Wizard. These are basic classes with classic roles you can change during the game. Each character also has a subclass which is basically their race, or in the case of the hero, the Cumbringer (tentative name), and for obvious reasons these can't be changed.
Now, you start only with the hero, to get more party members you got to capture the monster girls or rescue the elves. So depending on the race/subclass the character will have a bit of difference on primary stats and learn some unique skills. Considering the amount of monster girls planned I thought having a reserve of 50 max party members was a good number so you can collect and experiment.
I want to add more classes but considering I want to give each type of girl different clothes for each class, that's a lot of extra work for each extra class, so I'll most likely leave that for pledges goals.
Anyway, considering all this I was thinking having a party of just 4 members was too little. Five sounds kind of better but I even thought about making the party of 8 characters. But this is something I should decide on pretty soon to adjust the party and menu scripts and take into account for balancing difficulty.
So, it's time for a poll! In the future most polls will be for patrons but this one will be public and I will share it in other places because it's something I think it's a big deal and need as big a pool of opinions I can get. So here it is, vote!.... please? :)
