Also sorry but the ballot line question is a frustrating one because everyone in DSA who wants an independent party (more and more, fortunately) realizes that creating one isn't just as simple as declaring yourself an independent party and running in elections. the greens do that, look where they are. there needs to be a plan to both (a) pull media disciplined and house broken leftist voters out of the Democratic Party, who are otherwise always going to be too terrified of the threat of fascism to vote for Republicans and (b) politicizing and organizing enough working class people who don't vote to vote, and to vote for a socialist party at that It's not easy! That's no easy to task, there's a lot of things working against us on those fronts, so at the moment we can't be where we want to be.
