Early bird: The ЯRetro Show Christmas Special!

Boy oh boy did we have fun with this and can't wait to share it with you too! Watch it now if you want, or closer to Christmas if you prefer - the festive choices are all yours!

Video: https://youtu.be/9TabGLlPK9M

We have family coming into town for the first time since before COVID, and will be taking a little time out from publishing videos. But that doesn't mean I won't be filming some videos with them! It will be interesting to see how my 13 year old nephew gets on with a C64 or MEGA 65, and if my sister remembers how to operate the Amstrad PCW that she used to use in my dad's home office when she was his secretary!

Until next time, thank you for your ongoing support, and may we wish the happiest of holidays to you and yours! ☃️🕹️☃️

That was a fantastic ЯRetro Show Christmas Special, Peri. There was so much to unpack during this wonderful episode...or should I say funbox...? 😉 The best moment, if I could even pick just one, was when you put on the Nike MAG replica sneakers. To get an official pair of Nike MAGS (preferably with power laces) has been a bucket list item of mine ever since I first saw them on the big screen back in 1989. It's so incredible that the family of the late Richard McFarlane found his Amiga 500 and the artwork that he created on it still on the original floppy disks. The artwork is outstanding, particularly the Operation Wolf screenshot; it looked good enough to have been a part of the original arcade game. What a wonderful legacy he has left behind, though, and I'm glad that his family has chosen to share his artwork with the world by displaying it in the Derby Computer Museum. The most moving moment of this episode, however, has to be when that young lady unwrapped her childhood stuffed toy...the expression on her face said it all, even before the montage of childhood pictures. That Super Mario 64 moment on the Great Wall of China was great; I found myself laughing and wanting to see how far the person actually went simultaneously. Incidentally, I've downloaded the Quasimodo game for the Commodore 64 today; I can't wait to play it tomorrow at some point on my C64 Maxi. 🙂 Thank you so much, Peri (as well as the lovely Ladyfractic) for taking the time out of your busy schedules to share part of your Christmas time with us. I hope the entire Fractic family has a wonderful Christmas holiday as well as a prosperous and Happy New Year! 😊 Take care, Christian, and have a good one. 🙂

Thanks for the video also, of course!

I'm also a British person living in the US with an American spouse, and also have a habit of saying stuff like "oh yeah Neighbours was on after Blue Peter" to my similarly-baffled spouse. Whenever we watch the show I tend to accidentally say the same things you are saying at the same times. 😀 I also separately told my partner that my dad used to say "Yes Martin. Three bags full Martin." to me when I made random observations, and so that is the common response. I share this in case that response is also useful to Ladyfractic! 🙃
