Patreon Release: November 2022

Hey there all! Welcome to this month's Patreon release! We've got soldiers, we've got cyborgs, we've got zombies, plus monsters, tanks and robots too, all in one month!

If you're new here, you'll receive your files via MyMiniFactory, either through an email invitation to redeem your files through their site, or if you already have an account, it'll get added to your library automatically - don't worry if you don't get your files right away, however, as it might take me a little while to issue them, as it's a manual process. In addition, on the store page, you can see all the previous releases of models - if you've missed out on something and want to get your hands on it, fear not, for as a Patron, you can use a discount code (check the post after this one for it!) to get 15% off all your digital purchases from the Solwyte Studio store!

Alright, now that we've got all the boring slightly unsubtle advertising out of the way, let's start by going through what you've received this month. We'll start with the biggest, shall we?

This month sees the arrival of a second Solwyte collaboration piece (following the previous one with GearGuts in September) with the talents of Diverging Realm. This diorama, The Warden and the Wyrm, depicts a harrowing duel between the noble warsuit Viscount Class Aditae and a monstrous emissary of Khurybah, a Great Corruptor. Depicted on a huge scene set in long-forgotten ruins, this diorama makes an awesome centrepiece, and you will be able to find the multi-part posable kits for Aditae at Diverging Realm's Patreon, and the Great Corruptor here on the Solwyte Studios Patreon at a later date.

Both miniatures and the diorama base are designed to fit on an Elegoo Saturn build plate, as unfortunately they're simply too large for anything smaller to be viable, however both the diorama itself and the Great Corruptor have been included as whole pieces so you can scale them yourself for whatever printer you prefer.

Next up, I think perhaps we should go for something a little less organic, to change things up.

Rolling onto the frontlines in a hail of unrelenting firepower this month is the Sakraston Avenger Battle Tank, a leviathan of a vehicle, bringing to bear not only a sizeable battle cannon, but supporting it with a siegebreaker bombard cannon. With an all-new chassis, tracks and weapons, this marks the first in a short run of Sakraston tanks which will be coming soon to a battlefield near you!

Following this, I did want to make sure the Great Corruptor didn't feel too lonely on its own, so I gave it some friends!

Though these aren't the first set of Hollow Ones, they are a much better representative of what I had in mind that their predecessors. Monstrous malformations pushing out of their possessed bodies, like their very souls trying and failing to escape their flesh prisons - Thralls, bound to the will of a force so great that they can't contain it. That a being of endless evil and timeless, unknowable agony is forced into a human body is too much for it to bear, and as its eldritch presence lingers, it distorts. Caught early, rituals might be able to excise the creature and spare its host before too much damage is done, but before long, any resemblance of humanity is defiled and distorted beyond recognition - a hollow host, enslaved to an ceaseless hunger.

Continuing on the infantry side of things, we also have the returning, revamped and refreshed Minatarii Hieronites!

This month is the two year anniversary of the first Covenants of Mars infantry set being made, and in fact I believe it's the first infantry set I made for Patreon entirely. With that, it was beginning to show its age a little, with peculiar scaling and rather unflattering proportions. I mean, its groin was only just above its kneecaps!

With that in mind, this month I decided it was long overdue that I take a little look at these guys and see what I can do to freshen them up to look right alongside the rest of the Covenants range, and as you can see, it's all worked out rather well.

These guys are now available as a set of ten leg poses and five torsos with integrated heads, which are fully interchangeable with the rest of the Kyporii weapons and torsos and legs, and include revitalised and rescaled versions of the original Minatarii sawblades, and the all-new railrifle.

Had enough of infantry? Ah, well, good thing too, as I felt it was time for a giant robot... or a couple.

The Hyperion Kastellites, for all intents and purposes, the heavy support for Hyperion companies - you know, the Hyperion Troopers that are already huge enough as it is? Standing more than twice as tall as its Trooper brethren, these monsters can wield huge siege claws or a heavy gravity maul, or just go bare-handed and swing left and right to make a mess of anything! There's a bunch of different arm and leg poses, and three options for the Kastellite Prime head to appear to be looking left or right, depending on the visor angle.

Oh, sorry, not big enough, or not enough options? Fiiiine, how about this?

Onto the Komygan Destructor - this is a re-arming of the existing Komygan Eidola, trading off its four (relatively) light armaments for two heavy cannons. It has 5 available options, all previously fitted as primary cannons on Myraphyx tanks (pictured on the right). In addition, these also use two arm mounts per weapon, with a ball-jointed connection on variably-lengthed pistons, so each gun can be posed at almost any angle and still be aimed at a level position.

Do note that you will have to cut the arm pistons to fit - they have been designed with this in mind so you have lots of pose options!

Alright, alright, alright, so you're bored with robots now! Okay, well, let's see what else we have in here... oh, look at that!

Next up are the new Kaeio Scorchmaster Corps! While we've seen the Kaeio Destroyers on here before, who specialise in artillery and long-range firepower, these focus on midrange destruction. Lacking the typical anchoring arms of their Destroyer counterparts that were necessary to accommodate the recoil of heavy weapons, these instead bring to bear missile and las weapons, whose recoil is far less severe, and a (relatively) miniaturised battle cannon whose structure allows for recoil into the recess of the barrel, rather than transmission of vibrations directly into the carriage carrying it. Each gun can be elevated to any position, and each team comes as a Skjalos Guardsman firing the gun, and another spotting him with a collimator.

Whilst we're in the mood, the last entry for today's rewards is one final tank - but a much smaller and cuter one than the Sakraston!

In a nutshell, the Korya Strike Tank is pretty much the equivalent of the Nyoma Battle Tank, but mounted on the far faster, but lighter, Oryssa tank chassis, and I have to hugely thank Discord user reynoc6 for the original idea. Though it does sport an entirely new turret mounting a las-annihilator, the turret join is identical to that of the Nyoma, Nyoma-Akylo and Njassa vehicles, allowing all gun options to be interchanged, and uses the same sponson mounts for huge customisation options.

And, well, with that we're done. That concludes this month's release post, with two tanks, an artillery team, two sets of infantry, two robot sets and a diorama with another robot and a giant monster that I've been informed looks like a cross between a snake, a centipede and a sleeping bag. Yep, I can never unsee it either!

If you actually managed to read this far (thank you!), I'll be posting up the discount codes in the next couple of days, along with plans for December's releases! In addition, though of course this stuff isn't yet presupported, those will follow closer towards the end of this month.

You've got a whole bunch of new stuff to print, and I can't wait to see them - if you want to show off your finished prints and models, feel free to post them up in #my-solwyte in my Discord! Finally, If you haven't received an email invitation in a few minutes please send me a message via Patreon or Discord and I'll manually issue you one when I'm back awake!

Hey there - the hatch commander is simply one of the Skjalos Slaughter Corps, which I believe you've already received as part of your subscription. As it is, there is not currently a twin barrelled turret - yet!

Hi there, I just checked the Sakraston 'Avenger' Battle Tank data and I'm missing the twin battle cannon and the door-gunner (the guy on the top). Is it possible to upload them too?

Man, every month I am blown away. Nobody else is putting out this level of quality, this quickly in sci-fi wargaming. When I first discovered your stuff via the Okytus Venator, I was super into it, but you have come so far since then. It's astonishing.
