However, you are both correct, there should be an outcry regarding this, yet nothing is said. It's concerning at the very least. Critical infrastructure being hacked, along with numerous government employee records and more, is a direct attack. The core issue, I think, is from when Bush/Obama used hacking to destroy centrifuges in Iran as a joint mission with Israel. Israel felt it wasn't going fast enough, changed the code, and got us caught. However, there was never any official talks about this like with nuclear weapons, our leaders just behaved like it never happened. So, this has been escalating for some time. China for sure was hacking prior, but other countries joined in and knew they wouldn't have to have any concerns over war from these actions. I also agree, we need to complain to congressional representatives, however, I'm not even sure they can do anything. It's not an easy situation, and we are definitely behind in just staffing cybersecurity specialists to try and mitigate the issue.
