2023-07-17 16:46:39 +0000 UTCI can't remember which episode or channel I first heard this, but I heard one of you mention offhand and vaguely that you both went to a North Korean restaurant in China while filming Conquering Northern China, but something sketchy happened and you couldn't use the footage in the first edition of Conquering Northern China (which I bought and watched – there's no North Korean restaurant segment). So I wrote a question a few weeks ago asking if enough time has passed that you can actually explained what happened (I only heard a super vague description before). Cmilk answered it in Xiaban Hou episode 49 (1:17:20 in audio version) and basically implied that somebody noticed you filming and said that the North Korean waitresses would be killed if you published the footage. But then cmilk went on to say he was interested in potentially covering it further on Xiaban Hou because the situation "became part of the lore" of your channel, (which I was surprised to hear because I've watched awhile and never heard anything about it before). And he also said "there's a lot of details that go into that", which I'm also very curious about.
