I don’t even know worse china or Vietnam

Q: Will China collapse sooner or later like the sovietunion did and become a mafia state just without communism like russia?

Robert Mahlzeit

Q: If China is dependent on everything like food, oil and technology from the outside and cant innovate anything because of their bad system how the hell do they want to take over the world?

Robert Mahlzeit

I never ended up watching these Xiaban Hou even though it's why I subbed, until I saw what looked like stew or curry being made out of a literal garbage bin.

Q: First off thanks for the Changsha mention place on Friday's show, place is a soulless husk of a city, but that got me thinking about traffic lights, do you have any insight as to why they're so bad in certain places in China? I feel like some were put in place before some rapid development and you'd get stuck at them for 20+ minutes letting 4 cars turn left at a time or in other rural places just sitting there, i don't know they just seem poorly thought out or designed, only one direction going for 30 seconds at a time usually, I will say though I like the counter thing they have instead of just red light green light

Q: have you seen the DNSL video where a guy meets a friendly group of Chinese nationals in Red Dead Redemption 2 and they have a civil political discussion?

Landon Rivers

My friend's son used to work for one of the rabbinic organizations that certify foods as Kosher. They flat out refused to certify anything made in China, including things like seasonings and food coloring. He said you just can't trust the factory managers to tell the truth or be transparent about ingredients or processes.

Great show!

I also appreciated your advice for folks wanting to to learn Chinese. Light the Night is a great series that was a good in between proficiency level series for advanced learners.

Q: So I wanted to ask what you guys thought of the whole issue with their wooing everyone in Davos a few weeks ago? I had trouble not laughing about the ridiculousness of how much an about face from the silly wolf warrior diplomacy.

Changsha Zilong

I feel bad I didn't get to attend till the very end due to grading but, yeah this was my life while in Chongqing. I mean what this, sadly but interestingly, shows is how much more resistant to food poisoning/bad quality ingredients are people are. Now I would like to say that there are some inaccuracies in terms of your discussion about the issue of how male chicks are treated. The sad part is that in the US male chicks are actually treated very similarly to what you showed in China. As someone who is not for vegetarianism but for ethical husbandry, it was rather shocking how this same treatment of male chicks continues particularly in factory chicken farms here in the US. Anyway, great refresher episode and lovely to watch over my dinner, lol. Just to point out the issue: https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/22374193/eggs-chickens-animal-welfare-culling

Oh lord, nightmarish stuff, I'm sure.
