Xiàbān Hòu! - Episode #15 - China Tried to Invent Pizza Ice Cream

Hey Hous!

Today will be a fun one.

Everyone keeps getting down on me because I make fun of British food, and told me to eat Jaffa cakes. So I got some to try.

Also, bean boozled (mystery jelly beans) challenge with ultra spicy jelly beans that should make us feel the pain.

China tried a multi level marketing scam called Pizza Ice Cream, and we found a clip of us trying it. Also, cigarette claw machines for kids!

It's strange that many UK takeaways have dishes that don't exist in the country of origin, but rather are modified or original dishes created for the UK market. We don't know any better, so assume other nations eat these dishes all the time.

9 months is like the minimum time it takes for a family reunion when a Swedish person returns to Sweden with his her foreign spouse. The Swedish person has to have work and apartment set up before the spouse can even apply. They can't even visit. So if you don't have endless money and vacation, that you don't have on a new work, your are separated from your kids for a minimum of 9 months and up to 2 years. In Sweden it has basically become a crime to fall in love with a not European and that is including Americans.

Pizza in Asia is just wrong. Seriously mayo and seafood

I doubt they can unless they can hide in a private home. You need a green QR code to go anywhere including any store, transportation ect. So they would just be hiding in a home of someone who would not want to take the risk. China use to be the main way to get out of N Korea but now that is probably impossible unless they have someone who can help hide them and get them to the boarder to cross . I just do not see how it can be done now, with all the shut downs and extreme limits. This is now worse then N Korea due to the technology. Basically they not only have every face and name of citizens, but also have a voice recording, walk assessment, eye iris scan, fingerprints and DNA. This is one reason why the USA is basically requiring their invention of microchip to now be built in the USA. By allowing Taiwan companies to come to the USA they now have control over the process of the best chips and why not. We provide the special sand that can only be found in NC and we design them. Taiwan also said if China invaded they would blow up there chip factors. So when China says they are taking over Tiawin and will control the chip industry they are just doing their normal BS. China needs the west. They need our money, they need our food, and they are running out of clean drinking water as there have ruined their natural drinking water supply. They can only produce about 20% of there food and I heard some where that they now want to make farming communes where everything is center around government store. My guess China will probably get to the point of requiring the ration of clean drinking water. Of course that depend if they do not die of Cancer. The Cancer rate in China is huge and 50% of women have surgery for precancerous cysts leading to partial or complete hysterectomy. Also China has a huge elderly population and most young people are single children trying to care for parent, they cannot afford more than one child if they wanted to. China is expected to lose 50% of the population in about 30 years. But to tell you the truth the Earth needs a big break from human and the world should limit every one to 2 kid until we get our Earth fixed and humans are not so many we ruin the many other types of other amazing life we share this Earth with.

question: I've seen interviews of Russians who fled into Georgia to avoid conscription and that now there's so many it's becoming a problem for the locals, have you heard of Russians fleeing into China, can they even do it with lockdowns, and would China just send them back if Putin asked

Has it been confirmed that the man assaulting a HK protester in Manchester today is in fact the Chinese consul general? Need the official ‘China show seal of authenticity’ before I make my mind up. If it was him, the UK must simply make him persona non grata and send him home. China will eventually end up like Gaddafis Libya, who resorted to firing at unarmed protesters from their embassy windows if we keep letting them get away with this crap

Got a question for Winston as the resident weapons expert! Is the Chinese type-95 assault rifle another ripoff of another assault rifle? Because it actually doesn’t look similar to any other firearm that I’ve seen, despite it being Chinese, meaning that they had to have stolen it from somewhere. The previous standard issue Type-56 is literally just an AK-47, it’s exactly the same. And btw, I am on your side about that dabai holding a shotgun with a magazine and not an assault rifle. You can see it’s pump action!

A bottle of siracha has been chillin in my fridge since I moved to Taiwan 🤣🤣 i saw it at Carrefour the first day out of quarantine and was convinced it was something I would need. I even bought an extra

I'm an electrical engineer by training, software engineer by profession, Elon Musk has a lot of great ideas, he's smart, but he's autistic, there's a possibility that I'm autistic too, his brain and possibly my brain operate a little differently. It's likely he is completely unaware of his awkwardness much like me. The hyperloop could be a good idea, vacuum no air resistance tunnels to transport people is wonderful and scientifically sound, however economically, it would likely suffer the same issues as metro train systems, the ridership except during rush hour DO NOT justify the cost of the project. In other words, without government subsidies, it would likely be uneconomical and the overhead cost of the infrastructure would not be paid for by ticket sales alone. I could be wrong though

Did you guys ever go to the beach in Huidong or Haifeng? I was surprised how "going to the beach" seemed to involve little to no swimming or sitting in the sun - but a lot of walking, selfies, lighting fireworks, and eating not-so-healthy looking seafood (after pouring hot tea over every plate, bowl, and eating implement).

Sha Bi Chadwell

Releasing videos every other week sounds totally reasonable to me. Kind of crazy that you never take a few weeks off, e.g. in the summer

I've been on a ton of hiking/Mountain trails in China, and even more in the US and Europe, the big difference I noticed is all the official ones in China are literally concrete like a sidewalk, why is this, because they think if they were regular natural trails it looks poor to tourists? Or is it the maoist thinking of nature as something to be dominated as opposed to us westerners going into nature wanting a more natural experience?

Brandon White

Elon is not involved in building any Hyperloop, Solar city has not had enough resources because the manpower is being focused elsewhere, but it will be much bigger in the future, and the Vegas tunnel is a prototype.

Mats Mathisen

So, as an engineer what do you think about the rest of his shitty ideas? Like HYPErloop, Solar City(massive scam) and Vegas Loop aka the one lane tunnels with traffic jams💀

Bud Yeddi

I agree with Elon’s comments on Taiwan being absurdly stupid, but as a mechanical engineer listening, your comments on the new Tesla-bot are pretty ignorant and cringy (yeah I know you’re probably just trying to be funny). To make a prototype like that basically from scratch in under a year and actually have it walking around is way faster than most companies could do it. Really impressive stuff. And when you dig into the details of how they’re designing the parts to be robust and mass-producible, which will lower costs and increase scalability, forget about it. The Tesla-bot will be a bigger thing than Tesla cars and Space X combined. The reason why it stumbles around so much is because they are using AI to teach it how to walk, so it still needs more training. Honda and Boston dynamics use scripted movements, which are impressive for sure, but impractical for general use. The AI approach Tesla is taking will be extremely useful for manual labor in the humanoid-centric infrastructure we live in when they’ve started mass production. Keep up the criticism of Elon’s ideas about China, it’s really important we shame him every time he panders to the CCP. No matter what his motivations may be.

Mats Mathisen

Question: China doesn't allow data/usb drives, items to leave their country, it's because they use those methods to steal IP from other countries, why are they worried about foreign spies or police forces in China... because they put their foreign spies/policemen in other countries. They accuse others of things they themselves do. Know thy foe, defeat thy foe, I guess we must follow the breadcrumbs/read-between-the-lines and look at what china complains about... that's the very thing they do, please comment, thanks!

Some Dude

Super random question: crypto-mining was apparently huge in China until recently. Did you ever stumble across crypto-mining operations in China?

FordGT90Concept

hey guys suk mai dazaks. going to work on a design for a shirt. any ideas jump on the reddit ?

HeyItsMeUthere

Leaders have been fooled by China everywhere for sure!

Jaffa cakes probably are related to Jaffa oranges from Israel . Some sweets sold from Israel are orange slices dipped in chocolate. Probably from the British control of Palestine era.

In Norway we currently have a news article - https://www.nrk.no/nordland/statens-vegvesen-matte-bytte-bolter-for-32-millioner-kroner-pa-halogalandsbrua-1.16134496 stating that the Norwegian Government hired chinese contracters to build a new bridge in Norway. The work was so poorly done that Norway had to pay 3,5 million dollars just to fix the whole thing. Im just so dumbdfounded how they could hire them in the first place. Ofc the chinese company refused to pay for damages.

Is it true that Mao Zedong personally thought that Taiwan should be officially an independent nation? Also, it may be possible that Mao Ning is related to the latter since she was also born in Hunan.

Bryan Cain

Tomato sandwiches are pretty good if you add onion, salt, and pepper. Some add Tabasco sauce on top.

Let’s face it; English food is so bland we chose to eat Chinese, Indian, Italian and any other cuisine with flavour.
