More power to ya guys, I hope the show goes well and is a success. I considered popping up and checking out the inaugural episode at the very least, but I think it will be infeasible due to technical limitations. Namely, I use a VPN and Patreon NEVER let's me log in while I am on it. I have to go use public wifi at a cafe any time I need to log in here (I am NOT exposing my home IP, sorry.), so unfortunately that sort of kills it for me. Hopefully the same issue doesn't affect too many others.

I've been thinking to join for a while and I'm also into several projects. an extra show of that format gives an extra value that I'm deffinatly willing to participate in, but I can see the points made. Maybe the show can be cut to a size where conclusions of topics are drawn and summerised for everyone to see and so the business aspect of drawing people into the discussion remains. Could possibly even be a segment of the Friday show. But let's see how it goes. Excited to see.

I'm with you I've signed up for the first episode on the 4th but I'm not sure how long I can keep it up. I'm sure the quality of the podcast reflects the price but maybe a lower price could entice more people and make it work regardless? I'm a huge fan and I recommend you to anyone interested in China or Asia. I'd love to see you grow even further !

Right there with you. I'm going through college and working part time at the moment. I've been a $5 for a while and I'd love to see the new show, but I'm just broke as hell. If it was $10 I think I could swing it, but $20 is too much for me. I understand that it brings a certain value though, and I respect their choice on the pricing. I wish you guys luck on the show, and I look forward to binging it if I can bump up there someday

I'm spread a bit thin on Patreon with individual and podcast and joint channel support. Now, I would have to throw in another $15 a month for this new show AND to retain the ability to send a message via Patreon. It's no longer included in the $5 tier. That's an extra $180 per year and I'm now retired and on a fixed income. Sorry boys, but I don't think I can make it. You might have noticed I haven't been sending superchats for a while, either. How does this work? Where is the show hosted? I don't think Patreon has a live stream feature? Also there is a small typo in the announcement :P "It's just you an us, in an exclusive..."
