To my supporter fans of the C64 and ZZAP!64 magazine, did you know it's coming back as an official paper magazine again? If you'd like it delivered to your door like the good ol' days, here's the link to subscribe.
As you know, I'm even one of the reviewers! 🤯 2021 is shaping up to be great!

P.S. Crash magazine is also back from the same creator, if you're more of a Speccy fan 👍🕹️

Really fond memories of this, and I deeply regret firstly the condition that past me let some of these get into, but also for letting my mother ebay the surviving issues off some 10yrs ago.
I the biggest thing I loved about these was the monthly cassette. For anyone with a C64 that couldn't afford to buy games that often, picking up a copy Zzap 64, Commodore Format (always felt this one was posher because the tapes had cases), or Your Commodore (the one your granny wouldn't approve of), was the most cost effective way to make sure you always had something new to play.
I mean sure, a lot of it was was demos, or simply being given away free for a reason, but my childhood would have been a lot more dull without them!

When I lived in Portland, OR we could find some of these UK magazines in certain convenience stores and independent software shops. It was always fascinating to see so many games we could really only get by pirating. Even then, some of the scrolling ones flickered as they fought with our NTSC displays.
