An update on 'those' images...

After I posted yesterday's video and those naughty pixelated images (which I pixelated further) I received a couple of comments suggesting I open them via the Viewtek program. I should have thought of that at the time but I guess I was in shock!
Anyway, that's what I've done and... well... you can see for yourselves if you want. Looks like these were originally created in a much higher colour mode, or possibly HAM (hold and modify).
However I'm not embedding them here, because these ones are uncensored, for historical and computer archaeology reasons of course. (And by popular demand.) So you'll have to click on the links below if you want to see the full uncensored images. (Sorry for the aspect ratio issue. It's strange, the cursor was compacted but the image stretched.)
In all seriousness, this is a pretty fascinating time capsule of how things were in 1997 isn't it, and when you compare it to today's computer offerings it paints an interesting 'picture' of how far (or not) that subject has come.

2019-10-07 21:17:02 +0000 UTCI also think that was more appealing because until then it was almost impossible to do at such quality. I remember when I got Ghostbusters on C64 and the game TALKED! My parents didn't understand because they could press play on a tape and hear talking. But we knew the cusp of technology we were on. Same with pr0n ;-)

I was more excited to view pictures on my Amiga than I was viewing a vastly superior full colour A4 sized picture from a magazine. I think there might have been a four letter word that described that type of behaviour.
