A Tribute to Peanut the Dog

Hello Patrons. This week's post is a little different. It's all about one of my best friends in the whole world, Peanut.
Last week, my beloved pup of thirteen years, Peanut, was diagnosed with lymphoma. The veterinarian said she had about one month to live. Peanut already had a few medical problems. She had diabetes, cataracts, a crooked paw, arthritis, and a bad liver. But despite all of this, she was still the happiest dog in the world. And I loved taking care of her. She got two insulin shots a day, walks, and lots of love and snuggles. During the day, she laid on the floor in my office as I researched, wrote scripts, and edited videos. I took constant breaks and gave her pets as she wagged her tail.
The lymphoma diagnosis hit me hard. I was able to help Peanut with other medical issues, but there was nothing I could do this time. Kristin & I vowed to make her as comfortable as possible her last remaining days. And they were terrific. She got extra rawhides to chew on, she played with the neighbor's dog, and family came over to visit her.
Sadly, the lymphoma was very aggressive. On Monday, February 1st, we lost our sweet girl. I have never felt so much grief in my life, and I am so heartbroken. But as each day goes by, it gets a little easier.
I have so many happy, beautiful memories with Peanut. And today, I'd like to share with you some of my favorite pictures of her. If you have a pet, give them a little extra love today (actually, do that every day!)
