Just Some Ramblings (10/14/2020)

Hello everyone.

First, I want to apologize for not posting last week. I was extremely busy working on graduate school assignments. I completely forgot about posting on Patreon. Physical rewards are still going out every Monday though.

Luckily, I do have some updates this week!

Mega Man on DOS Script

I have finished writing the Mega Man on DOS script! This took much longer than usual. I had to write it in the evenings, which resulted in about 1 page per night.

This video will incorporate an interview I had with the games creator, Stephen Rozner. Interviews are nice in documentaries because they help with flow. Sometimes it can be grating to hear the same voice for 20 minutes straight. That is one reason why I added quotes to my videos.

I will be releasing this video before the end of the month. I have to because it will have a sponsorship. Patreon supporters will get an ad-free version.

Grad School Lessons

Graduate school is hard. I guess I didn't realize how hard it would be! Right now I am taking two classes, and even that feels like too much. I spend most of the day (8-5pm) working on assignments. Then, in the evening, I work on Gaming Historian. It actually took me awhile to figure this schedule out, but I think it is working. Next semester, I only plan on taking one class so I can have better balance in my life.

On the plus side, graduate school is a lot of fun! I'm learning so much about research and methods. I'm also improving my writing. Writing has always been a weak point for me, so I can only get better. Right?

So What is the Next Episode?

That's a good question! I have a few ideas for a topic. But I'm going to put up a poll so Patrons can vote. Look for that in the next few days. I'm thinking we should look at some weird hardware again. Stay tuned!
