Hello Patrons and welcome to this week's blog post! For the past week, I've been spending most of my time fulfilling Patreon rewards. I had way more people sign up than anticipated! Rest assured, physical rewards are on the way. If you live in the United States, check your mailboxes in the coming days. International might take a little longer.

New Books Acquired!

The Gaming Historian library added two new books to it's collection, both about the legendary creator of the Game Boy, Gunpei Yokoi! The first is called  "Gunpei Yokoi: The Life & Philosophy of Nintendo's God of Toys" and is in French.  

The second is called "The Yokoi Gunpei Game Museum Returns." This is a reprint of a book originally published in 1997 and contains updated information. 

Both books were written by Takefumi Makino and, I assume, will contain mostly the same information. However, the French book has MANY never-before-seen photos of Yokoi. I'll be sharing some of them here in the future. I've always wanted to do a video on Yokoi, so these books will be very important for research and production!

Which Shirt Do You Like Best?

Recently, The Gaming Historian has undergone a brand transformation. And with that, we need updated t-shirts! I've attached an image of some design ideas we have come up with. Please comment below and let me know which ones you like the best. Your feedback helps us decide what direction to go! Personally, I like #6. But what about you?

Awesome Possum Research

I'm currently researching the Awesome Possum lawsuit. I've located the case files in Philadelphia, and I am trying to acquire a copy. I'll let you know next week what happens.
